The Stolen Rain
Chapter 1: The Tipsy Tree Inn Every night at midnight, the purple clouds came out to dance with the blushing sky. Purple clouds pregnant with rain drifted over both towns and castles alike, ready to flood without discrimination. When the bright spirits of the sky drank these clouds, they were satisfied with their work and returned to their world between the sky and the heavens. Unreachable as they were, they could hear the cries of those below.

The Way Back to Midnight
Every night at midnight, the purple clouds came out to dance with the blushing sky. And every night, as a doughy-faced youth, I greeted them as many people welcome the light of morning. Not me; I’ve longed for the blush of midnight for as long as I can remember.

Late-Night Classic Rock Drives
Every night at midnight, the purple clouds came out to dance with the blushing sky. The chilled breeze that routinely accompanies them makes different melodic sounds as it cuts through the frosted glistening mountain tops, similar to the sound a saxophone makes as air flows through the wooden reed and through its body. The sounds don't necessarily lend to comprise an entire musical movement, but they are pleasant enough to make the purple clouds sway and twirl in the air.

The Love Story
Every night at midnight, the purple clouds came out to dance with the blushing sky. It was well known that the effervescent tones were the universe’s way of kissing the world goodnight. The world remembers the first time she felt the cold purpling light of the universe come to stroke her atmosphere with that glorious paintbrush of light. Maa, for that is what this world is called, has composed many songs and poems to Edra the universe that echoes with the passion in her trembling depths. Edra was the kind of lover who knew no restrictions, no limits on how much love she could give to her beloved Maa.

What If The World Really Was Purple Every Evening
Every night at midnight, the purple clouds came out to dance with the blushing sky. As I comment to myself that line, I hear, “Oh my,” coming from the wife. “Poetry in motion. I wish I could take a notion and be with you at night to see what you see.”

Not What It Seems
Every night at midnight, the purple clouds came out to dance with the blushing sky. Everyone in the village of Pallaton was enchanted by the sight. The villagers would dance under the clouds and celebrate their arrival. They all thought it was magical, a gift to bring in the new day. What they didn’t know was that these clouds meant extinction.

Farming Amongst the Clouds
Every night at midnight, the purple clouds came out to dance with the blushing sky. And as soon as they do, the observers in their towers would announce it and the cloud farmers would head up in their harvesters to start their work for the day, harvesting from said purple clouds.
