Purple Street's Majesty
Every night at midnight, the purple clouds came out to dance with the blushing sky. The porch swings as the wind chimes tune their pipes, preparing for the soiree to begin. Lounging lazily astride the banister, her back rested against the house while she waits. The streetlights flickered like neon signs on corner store windows, a beacon to gather nightlife and quietly advertise their wares. Tiny mushroom like fungi appeared on the trees lining the street as little fair ones came out and plopped down the spotted tops until they reached ground below.

The Last Time I Left You Was Actually Before the Last Time I’ll Leave You
“Every night at midnight, the purple clouds came out to dance with the blushing sky.” As the old song goes, or is it a proverb now? An adage? We have no dictionary, and I was never one for remembering a true definition…But dancing, yes, that’s one way to see it. No, it’s not. That's one way by choice. Have I ever seen it in such a light, in the rare event I’ve been out at the right time of any day or night, in the last few weeks (years?). No, there’s never been any dancing. It’s not what I see. It’s not what I feel. In any case, dwelling on how I feel does about as much good as saying what I know, to the elders especially, when they gather at these midnight hours in the worm caves. Notta lotta.

The Sculptor
Every night at midnight, the purple clouds came out to dance with the blushing sky. It was midnight on the dot. This meant that I had exactly sixty seconds before the clouds disappeared again, falling back under the horizon, and returning to wherever they'd come from.

Midnight Magic
Every night at midnight, the purple clouds came out to dance with the blushing sky. That was the time when barriers were thinnest between the solid and spirit realms, between past, present, and future scenes. You could hear voices sometimes, of those who had passed on. Feel the warm embrace of a love from long ago. And places, if you wanted to travel between spaces, whisked amongst worlds and amidst existances, that was the ideal opportunity... though there was no guarantee you'd return wholly yourself or roost in quite the same nest as where you'd left.

ATMOSPHERES
Every night at midnight, the purple clouds came out to dance with the blushing sky over a hidden grove of trees, celebrating the seers, who found this secret place ages long ago. Amidst the ancient forest they sensed a powerful source of energy within, and dwelled there ever since. The nature keepers blended seamlessly into the forest, with leaves and vines woven into their hair and cloaks. They could move about without making a sound, disappearing into the shadows with ease, able to hide amongst the wise and ancient trees. This forest was their home, which they protected as guardians of its secrets, and believed that every living thing within was alive with spirit. It became their solemn mission, to ensure that balance was maintained.

Purple Skies & Constant Lies
Every night at midnight, the purple clouds came out to dance with the blushing sky. You might wonder how clouds could be purple. It's not something you see every day. I mean... sure, sunset creates these amazing skies of reds & oranges in the fall... and then you have cotton candy skies in summer with beautiful blues and pinks. It's as if you could reach up and pluck the cotton candy clouds right out of the sky. BUT PURPLE CLOUDS? Well, I hate to break it to you but it's me. It's always been me.
