Is she my sister
I was supposed to be playing baseball. But everywhere I looked I saw her, and she seemed to be watching me as well. I had never seen her before. I was curious. When I returned to the bench she came up beside me. She leaned forward to whisper to me, and I leaned toward her to hear, She whispered "Your father is not your birth father." "What" I gasped "It is our family secret ." She continued. "You're crazy" I responded " Get out of here, you are nuts. " I turned my back to her. She seemed hurt, but she left. That pretty girl was nuts, I turned my focus back to my baseball game. I had never seen her before, she did not know my family, she was pretty but she nuts.

It was a quiet, sunny afternoon and being in a lazy mood, decided to grab my book and just sit for an hour or two and read. My chair was situated near the window that allowed the most sunshine of the late afternoon to find its way into the room.

The scary thing we saw while fishing at night
We loaded up the truck with our poles just before dusk. Had grabbed all the bait we thing would do the job and headed out to the lake. Our local lake is only a five-minute drive from our house. Then backed up to the water and inched the boat and trailer into the water. I had never gone night fishing before, and there was no dock at this lake. I had to go in the dark water to guide the boat off the trailer into the water. Even though the sun had not set, the water was not clear by the bright sun overhead. It was dark and cold.

The Plight of Tucker Thompson
Millie Thompson hung her apron on a peg by the hearth. Her husband, Jake, knelt before the continual fire, prodding the logs with an iron poker, coaxing more warmth for the snowy winter evening. He added a small locust log, and flames curled around it and into the flue.

A Momentary Lapse of Reason. Top Story - August 2022.
A Momentary Lapse Of Reason By: Steven Dean Darren felt frustrated. The luminescent numbers on the car stereo displayed a time much later than he intended. 11:45 was much too late to be out with his two year old son, Dylan. Amazingly enough, no tantrums had occurred. Dylan was quite content to suck his thumb and rub his mom’s strawberry blond hair back and forth across his cheek.
