Her Fury
By: Ellie Kehl & McKenna Montes Fury passed over the temple once more, the fae quivering beneath his shadow. Idiots, Fury banked to the left, I am far more powerful than any god of yours. He soared over the water, watching for any movement before turning back to the land. Fury flew over the Geha forest, scanning its canopy trees and vibrant wildflowers.

Two's-Day with a Dragon
“Boys the fire in the oven is dying, please go collect more wood from the forest”, Mikayla called to her older sons. “Yes, mother”, echoed from the den. The boys both put on their fur coats, for that morning was just the start of a very cold day. As they exited their home, they failed to notice another smaller being following them. Their youngest brother Micah had slipped out of the door behind them, toddling along as a two year old does. As the boys advanced through the light snow from the night before, Micah slowly followed their steps trying to jump from footprint to footprint in the snow.

Oliver, Son of Genvalt
"If there is a fire that never ceases to burn, it surely lies in the maw of a dragon." (Sarkhan Vol) Oliver woke up in a cold sweat. For many days he had been haunted by a dream where he crept around a dark castle. Each time he passed the maid's room, the door creaked open as a long golden shaft of light crawled out onto the black floor. His mother laid on the bed moaning and crying and begging him for help. As he approached, she turned around, and her face dripped off her like candle wax, revealing a cold, gray skull.

The Infant and The Dragon
The world we know today is covered in man-made monstrosities made of metal and glass. This is not how the world used to be, and this is not how the world appears on one warm Autumn night, deep in the forest surrounding Mount Somers. This night took place back when homes were still built chiefly of wood and there was no such thing as electricity or indoor plumbing. Most people lived in small villages with their homes built as close to each other as possible for protection as the times were not safe for the average person. Not everyone was like the rest, and there is one, in particular, that was far from average.

Son of The Dragon
Legends tell of mighty and noble beasts, the dragons. Now they are scarce but once they ruled the land, they ruled the people as wise sages, or powerful tyrants. Some say man grew tired of their rule, and slayed every dragon they could, while others say man coveted the hoards of the dragons buried in their mountain keeps. But that isn’t the story I wish to tell you, and I know it's not the story you want to hear. You wish to hear of Draken, the man raised by a dragon. A man who transcended flesh and became a dragon.

Fool Proof
The vibrant green forest was quiet. Too quiet for an Anoxiver morning when life was supposed to be in renewal, and quieter than it was yesterday. Éimhím trudged onwards, unsettled. His pastel, deep lime green scales with their rich pink undertones, bristled. It shouldn’t have been so quiet, especially not during the yearly two-week eclipse. He had gone years and years seeing it all over the world, and it was never this quiet even in the calmest of places, let alone here, the most dangerous region during the lightlessness.

A Serpent in the Garden
Amelie tastes blood. Far away from battle, an expecting mother wages war in her bed. East of the river bend, a path walks through the trees, down a hill to a window. Through the glass, three heads look down as she delivers her consequence to the world, scorned by the sword of an unknown wielder. Amelie’s mother, sister, and midwife are grabbing her, ogling her, spreading her legs, and wiping the sweat from her brow.
