A Dragon's Gem
A full moon shone in the sky above, and the woods laid in a peaceful silence. Creatures of the night scurried about, searching for prey or a place to hide. Any noise lasted only a moment, even the large whoosh of wind from above the trees didn’t last long. These large gusts came from the large and leathery wings of a dragon. His body a crimson red, and his scales seemed to shine like rubies when bathed in the moonlight. He flew over the trees towards the towering mountains, a bundle of cloth hanging from his neck.

Golden Emerald
The light from the crescent moon shown down on the lands of the kingdom of Havendale. Far away from the castle a creature drifted through the sky. The rich golden scales of the young dragon Aureum rode the winds of the frigid night air. Aureum was aware of the cold but did not feel it’s cold embrace against his warm body. His nightly hunt had left him satisfied, but still felt the need to fly. The feeling of freedom was overwhelming blissful. Besides, the night was what allowed the dragons freedom. During the day they mainly kept hidden and close to the ground. While the humans slept, the dragons hunted. This is what kept the peace between the humans and dragons. It had been that way for hundreds of years. After what seemed like the never-ending wars between the two different being, it was decided that they live separately, and more importantly in peace. Dragons didn’t see or bother humans, and humans responded in kind.

Exordium: Maka's Magic Journey
“What is it?! What is it?! Can we keep it? We saw it first!”. “We are not keeping it. It’s probably dangerous or something.”. “Oh, yes, great idea! Why don’t we keep the dangerous thing. Makes perfect sense. Why didn’t I think of that?!”. “Probably because you’re not as smart as me.”. “Neither one of you are smart! That’s why I was always in charge.”. “Or maybe we just let you think that.”. This was the conversation that took place between the three heads of a hydra dragon, Sparky. Sparky was a monsterous, red dragon. Each of his heads had a different temperament. The left head was more silly, fun, and pleasant. The middle head being very stern, somewhat nasty, and swore he was in charge. The right head was the sarcastically honest one. Some even referred to the right head as a tad rude at times, but he was more passive-aggressive than anything.

The Dreams We Yearn For
Many years ago there was a great Dragon. She would fly across the seas and go on great adventures. She lived a life many can only dream about. Yet, she longed for more. One day, after flying for many hours across the sea the Great Dragon yearned for a drink of water. She followed a stream that led through a forest, winding past grizzly bears, unicorns and humans alike. Passing by a human village right before she came to a lake. The lake was long enough that the Dragon would have to fly for a few seconds before reaching the other end. A human’s eyesight could see from one end to the other, but not anything that rested on the opposite bank. Unless of course, there was a Dragon. She landed with earth shaking force to ward off any predators nearby who might dare to challenge her, only too late realizing they could have been dinner. But maybe lady luck would provide for her today as she spots a large fish tail slap the water’s surface. Dinner it is then, she muses.

Xylon
The rays of the morning sun streamed through the canopy of the Telora forest, bathing the forest floor in dappled beams of light. Through the speckled patches of light, a lone toddler made his way through the underbrush, babbling happily and oblivious to any impending danger. His laughter reverberated throughout the forest causing several animals to retreat into the comfort and safety of their dens. One creature, however, stirred from his morning respite; a trace of curiosity flickering within him.

Brother Dragon
“Children, it’s time I told you a story.” Ameillia stretched her scaly neck, bringing her two boys close to her with the swipe of her tail. One was Jauve, her own scales and blood; the other was Matu, a human child she had rescued some years ago. Both boys had recently turned six.

The Lost Dragon and the Found Child
Crying. It was an unnatural sound in those woods. Birds, insects and leaves shaking in the wind were constant. Huffing of animals or padded feet on grass were next. However, this was a different sound. Something that belonged in the human settlements.

The Forest Dragon's Heart
The Forest Dragon sensed a stirring, a presence in the woods that was not native to its territory. The mushrooms were concerned, the moss had a complaint, the twigs were chittering all about it, the insects didn't know whether to be awe-filled or awfully annoyed. As sovereign of this land, the dragon would surely take care of the issue, one way or another. With a stretch of wings and a slither of scales, the ground rumbled in its wake. Ready, if needed, to intimidate.
