Chapter 1 The New King There weren’t always dragons in the Valley, the teenage son of Arthur and Guinevere thought to himself. His first knight hurried into the court to report his findings of the latest threat to the kingdom of Camelot. Romao, King Chancellor's first knight, reported that the prince of Amsterland has been taking over all the small kingdom’s surrounding Camelot with his greatest victory looming overhead. Prince Alexander of Amsterland has his sights set on Camelot with hopes of defeating the new ruler and his prize wizard, Merlin. The prince has found one of his greatest assets in his defeat of a small kingdom surrounding Camelot. Who would have thought that he would have just happened upon this wizard trying to perfect his new craft as he defeated their kingdom? Prince Alexander’s guards found this wizard as he was conjuring dragons and gargoyles as soldiers in Balize were falling one by one to the prince’s indestructible army. His magic was unbelievable and powerful! The prince lost a lot of men to this magic as they pressed through the main gate and into the castle’s walls. As they continued through the kingdom killing soldiers and everything in their path, they finally found the source of the magic. This young wizard tried everything his mentor had taught him, but he was unsuccessful in defeating this indestructible army of men. They captured his brother and in exchange for his brother’s life, the wizard agreed to serve Prince Alexander.

-Daliah- Eccentric music floats in and out of earshot, as evening gowns twirl and flutter with the equally rich women wearing them.
Sir Gawain and the Green Knight Analysis
“The 14th century was seen as a time of great concern over idols and idolatry”(141), it almost seemed sinful to have symbols such as the cross, or images of religious beings in the church, which is evidently breaking the first commandment, which forbids to praise or worship of graven images/idols. The poet of Sir Gawain uses a lot of biblical and religious references in the text, but that does not help specify the time period in which the book was written, because religious references throughout the years were and are stated in literature very often, it is not uncommon to do so.So the use of these references does not affect the time of the writing or the text. I suspect that Sir Gawain and the Green Knight was written in the 14th century; there are three common narrative elements that take place: the beheading, exchanging of winnings and temptation, which were constantly repeated in the 14th century literary world. However, some may argue that these literary elements were repeated in the 18th century as well. If you look at Arthurian literature the beheading, exchanging of winning and temptation are all presented in the texts as well.

The school bell rang and it was a race to go home changed into our cut off jeans, and flip- flops. We would check the fridge for snacks and off we go. On any given day you could find seven to ten kids, racing to to beach; jogging at our own pace. Once our feet hit the sands we kicked off our slippers, some would dive into the water like pelicans. We entered the water like rowdy cow-boys.

Boy monday's are really boring. It is the start of a really long week. Maybe it will end in a spasma of more goodness. The puppy got loose today. It was running all over the lawn, looking for friends to play with. That was just something that I observed this morning. It carried me through the day as an inspriational beacon.

I wanted to make a run for the upper deck, but Eric was probably right. We never would have made it. We had seen already how they treated our class on the ship. While the luxury for the first class patrons was so apparent, we were mostly treated like baggage.

You would have a marvelling laugh if you were here right now at my expense at the kind of odd luck I have. I would also stake my life that if you had the magical ability to turn back the hands of time and repair damages done by it, you would do so in a blink of an eye but alas, you are not here and soon, neither will I.
