The Power of Establishing Your Boundaries
I have experienced many transitions in my life personally and professionally in the last five years. Some of them have been strong enough to shake the foundation that I stand on and rock me to my inner core. Some of these transitions could not have been prevented. They were part of circumstances that were outside of my circle of control. Others; unfortunately, were a part of the consequences of bad decisions I have made in my past. Regardless of how the transitions occurred in my life, these events have created a ripple effect.

I decided to subscribe to Peacock so my son could watch a movie about Lebron James when I came across this crime series. Unlike the title, it is not really based on a true story. It is a fiction story about a couple struggling in their marriage who just happen to accidentally meet a serial killer.

When Bonnie Tyler wrote the song "Holding Out for a Hero" , she really hit the nail on the head. After two marriages to two narcissistic men who were both cruel to me and my and son and who both failed to be a father and a stepfather to him, I realize how true the lyrics to her song are in my life. The days and nights that I have prayed for a man that would sweep me off of my feet. Not that I am out there searching bars, dating sites, or hitting up my friends for single men.

The Vacation
Callie Somers was a teacher in Athens, Georgia. She had been teaching for ten years and was reaching the ultimate danger to a lot of teachers, Teacher Burnout! Callie was teaching second grade and her class this year had some of the worst behavior problems in the whole grade level. She was at the point where she debated whether she could return to the classroom next year. Her administrators were ineffective, unsupportive, and refused to help her or any other teacher that had behavior issues in their classroom. It was a horrible existence for Callie or any other teacher in that position!
