From being first noticed with questions to being used as medicine to finally becoming the iconic dessert treat we know today, chocolate has had quite the journey from its origins to our mouths.

There's still quite a bit about chocolate that you've probably never heard before, and today we're going to let you in on some strange little-known facts about chocolate, but before we do that, let's first discuss the history of chocolate.

Everyone loves talking about how chocolate tastes, but can we also talk about how good it smells?

The bouquet of flavours that your nose picks up when it is exposed to chocolate comes from the butter, which is essentially just fat but is packed with about 600 Aroma molecules. If you were to analyse each of these molecules individually—I'm not sure how—you might discover that some of them don't smell at all like the roasted chocolate fragrance we are all familiar with. Instead, you might find flavours like potato chip, peach, or even cooked meat among the cocoa.

By the way, scientists discovered that only 25 of these foundation odours were actually required to form the cocoa scent, which is significant for species like humans who acquire our sense of taste through our sense of smell. The delicious flavour that chocolate is known for is produced by the combination of its high fat content and the gradual release of those compounds up into your nasal passages; for this reason, you should take your time enjoying your chocolate. It's a genuine issue because the slower you eat, the stronger the flavour gets while the faster you eat, the sooner you can go get more chocolate. I honestly never noticed it, i will actually try to notice if it's true from now on.

Even with the best literary minds' attempts, most people still prefer to judge a book by its cover. In 2019, a scientific study was done to determine how much packaging affects a person's judgement while selecting a chocolate treat.

To assess the sweets without tasting them, volunteers were given both wrapped and unwrapped candy as well as empty wrappers. The chocolates were grouped into themes ranging from fun and bold to daily and wholesome. even the best literary minds' attempts, most people still prefer to judge a book by its cover. To analyse the sweets without tasting them, volunteers were given both wrapped and unwrapped candy as well as empty wrappers. The chocolates were grouped in themes ranging from fun and bold to daily and wholesome. Participants in the study didn't notice many differences in the chocolates themselves, but the packaging was quite different.

Chocolate and fancy wrapping created the strongest attraction and a higher guarantee that the volunteer would purchase this candy in the future while taste was still an important factor, while scores decreased for the candies where the rappers were missing. Additional studies of this kind revealed that packaging influences around 60% of all candy sales, regardless how the taste likes.

The same hot chocolate was served to more than 50 volunteers in a variety of coloured mugs; obviously, this experiment was carried out in Santa's Workshop. When the votes were recorded nearly every participant agreed that the hot chocolates in the orange or cream-colored mugs had the best flavour, despite the fact that they were all the same.  Therefore, if you want to experience the flavour explosion of a lifetime, get yourself an orange and cream-colored mug and fill it with hot cocoa. For me, i guess i prefer hot chocolate in white mug with cream on top, oh sound yummy.

Amazingly One of those uncommon meals, like a delicious unicorn, chocolate calms the mind, lowers blood pressure, strengthens the heart, and stimulates the taste buds.

According to a 2019 survey, 60% of women said they would prefer to consume the chocolate themselves or share it with their family rather than offer it to difficult coworkers. Really, the only Valentine's Day tradition that needs to change is giving oneself a box of Hershey Kisses or any chocolate.

Let's not limit ourselves to chocolate. These days, women tend not to eat chocolate because we think it is unhealthy. I would say, "Well, if you don't overeat those chocolates, you can actually enjoy having them from time to time. Why not." We all deserve to be happy in our own ways.

I'm going to grab a bite of chocolate; do you want some?
