Sweet Golden Summer Sun
I grew up in Eastern Pennsylvania in the 80's in a town called Emmaus. This meant that summer included hot and humid days in an area that had suburbs and small towns surrounded by lots of small farms which had been in families since the arrival of their German ancestors in the 1700's.

Ah summer... There is so much about the season that tantalizes the senses. You have the smell of freshly cut grass on Saturday mornings, then there's the reverberating sounds of fireworks during mid-summer celebrations, and who can forget the feel of the warm glow of the sun on your skin or the dazzling visual that it paints as it sets during those long summer days. There is no doubt that summer is a season to behold for the senses, but what about taste? Every season has its food staples but summer seems to have a unique way of making food abundantly more satisfying. Perhaps it's the pool parties where you're completely waterlogged when you sit down to eat and it just hits the right spot, or maybe the refreshing watermelon eaten at a picnic on a hot day with your older siblings teasing you that one will grow in your belly if you swallow the seeds. Whatever the food, it is sure to evoke a vivid memory when certain flavors hit your taste buds.

Ever since I was old enough to eat salads, I have been obsessed with Newman’s Own oil and vinegar salad dressing. As a child of the 90s, my mom often served dinner side salads, and my iceberg lettuce and carrot shreds would be doused with the best that Paul Newman had to offer. My salad bowl would resemble an oil and vinegar soup because I’d use half the bottle in one sitting. By the time I reached elementary school, my mom had to start buying the dressing in bulk due to the sheer quantity I was consuming.

I have many associations with food and summer, not all of them good. Where would Britain be without the hope of a barbecue? Summers in Britain are notoriously short-lived, if they appear at all so the chance of eating outdoors or having a picnic somewhere was a real treat, especially if grey cloud cover and a torrent of rain didn't spoil it completely. Although the elements would always be looking to thwart any plans for al fresco dining, sometimes there was the chance of burgers in buns, a hot dog made out of the finest butchers' sausages as opposed to wiener dogs and coleslaw and potato salad, possibly under a sunny sky but more than likely not.

Hearing a cheerful melody faintly playing down the road, all activity halts at our house. Turning down the radio while dancing in the kitchen, listening to MC Hammer or Madonna, we suddenly freeze.

The seeds created with the espresso plant are coffee beans. Although they are commonly referred to as beans, they are not actually beans in the exact botanical sense of the word. The espresso plant produces pink or purple fruits, which can also be called espresso cherries or berries, and the pit that is inside is definitely the "bean" that is the source of the espresso. Two stones lying flat-side together usually represent a coffee bean. It is from this grain that espresso is obtained, which can be used to make various espresso drinks such as espresso, latte and cappuccino using suitable coffee makers, espresso machines and many others. It can be said that a small percentage of any espresso cherry crop consists of single beans in cherries as an alternative to the standard two. These types of berries are identified as pea berries.
Specialty Coffee - A Bustling Sector Or Perhaps The Future Of Crossroads Coffee?
Seattle; the birthplace of Boeing, the giants of software, grunge music and ... signature coffee. Very good, not pretty. Contrary to popular belief, while Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Boeing, and Oracle no doubt hail from the Pacific Northwest, the modern signature espresso has its roots much further south.
The Best Coffees In The World
Thinking about the most effective coffees in the world, I went to the Specialized Espresso Association of the USA (SCAA) to study. This is the group that sets the quality standard for specialty coffee, which is called gourmet coffee by phone. All specialty coffees use Arabica beans. The opposite group are Robusta grains, the taste of which is inferior to Arabica. It is in these classes that there are many varieties of beans. Arabica beans are grown at a higher altitude than Robusta.
Looking For The Best Coffee Makers
Espresso is often the most popular drink on the planet. Recent data shows that more than 50% of the American population drink espresso, and this range is likely to be true in many other countries as well. This primarily helps you explain why there are these types of coffee makers that you can buy now.
What is bulletproof coffee and how to make it the Shanghai way
Before you start adding anything to your coffee, let's first try to be clear: a cup of black, real coffee made from quality coffee beans is amazing in itself. Besides tasting great, coffee can help improve mental and physical performance, so it's no surprise that so many people around the world start their day with a cup of coffee in the morning.
15 coffee shops in San Francisco you should stop by before you die
Coffee houses in San Francisco can be a dime a dozen. Seriously, you'll find about 300 espresso shops throughout the city - that's about 6 per square mile!
Eleven measures in a large cup of coffee
If you're like most coffee drinkers, you almost certainly think you're currently drinking a great cup of espresso. However, there is a chance that you will most likely be able to increase the standard with the following eleven measures:
