Seoul is known to have a huge coffee culture and cafe scene, hence why a new cafe always opens up. It is quite common to go cafe hopping on weekends, or line up for the hottest new dessert that everyone is posting or talking about. But there are a few cafes that just stand out, and people like to visit regularly.

Whether you're living in Seoul, or on vacation in this bustling city, you have to visit these cafes!

Cinnamon Rolls at Cafe Cinnamon

Cafe Cinnamon

Cafe Cinnamon is located opposite the beautiful Seokchon Lake and the famous Lotte Tower. It is a huge cafe that has minimalism interior, and delicious freshly baked cinnamon rolls. There are different flavors to choose from, including the classic cinnamon roll with vanilla frosting. If you want a hot beverage to pair well with your cinnamon roll, then you should order their signature drink, the apple cinnamon latte. The taste itself gives a nostalgic feeling of Fall, and brings you comfort in a mug.

If you're in the mood for a buttery croissant that is flaky on the outside and soft like a pillow on the inside, then you should visit Rust Bakery. It is located in the trendy area Mullae, that is modern yet industrial. This cafe has many floors, including an outdoor terrace. It's interior is industrial design, which is quite a common theme in Seoul. When you visit, you might feel indecisive about what sweet or savory treat you would want, since there's a big variety to choose from. Their specialties are scones and pudding, but they also sell delicious, fluffy bagels and other flaky pastries.

Dotori Cafe (Acorn Garden)

There are many themed cafes in Seoul, especially Studio Ghibli ones. Dotori is one of them, and is especially popular among the locals. It has a woodland theme interior, with the main character being a blue squirrel who just loves acorns. They specialize in acorn shaped Madeleines, and have a selection of sandwiches with appetizing combinations. They also have a fresh Greek Yogurt stand with huge stacks of honeycomb and different toppings, and brunch dishes to try too. This cafe is also located near Buckhon Hanok village, so it's the perfect area to walk around too.

Dotori Cafe

Cafe Nagwonjang

Cafe Nagwonjang is popular for its quirky interior, which is a collection of retro furniture and collectibles, as well as random chairs. In fact, the interior itself is more of a mismatch, which is what makes this cafe unique. Located in the busy area of Ikseon-dong, this cafe has many floors, including a rooftop terrace. They have a selection of hot and cold beverages that'll quench your thirst, as well as a small yet fresh selection of desserts to choose from. You can even see the bakers live in action, as they prepare for the next batch.

If you're a coffee or wine lover, then this cafe is perfect for you. Cafe De Rabbit is a rabbit themed cafe (there are no real rabbits there), with a sprinkle of femininity and cuteness. The interior of the cafe is mainly pink and white, and their specialty is cat and rabbit shaped Madeleines. They also make a delicious tiramisu, and if you order a hot beverage, you would get it in their rabbit themed mug. This cafe has different floors, and they all have a pretty view of the mini park that is situated in the middle of Mapo-gu. Cafe De Rabbit is located in between Yeonnam and Hongdae.
