Ground turkey is an excellent alternative to beef. But it can be bland, so use these recipes for inspiration!

Ground Turkey Stuffed Peppers:

Ingredients:

-Ground turkey, lean

-Bell peppers, any color

-Onion, chopped

-Garlic, minced

-Tomato sauce

-Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a baking dish and set aside. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground turkey until browned. Add the onion, garlic, tomato sauce, salt, and pepper.

Mix well and remove from heat. Cut the tops off of the bell peppers and discard seeds. Fill each pepper with the turkey mixture and place it in the baking dish. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until peppers are tender.

Pasta with Meat Sauce and Ground Turkey:

Ingredients:

-Ground turkey, lean

-Egg noodles, cooked according to package directions

-Tomato sauce or marinara sauce (whatever flavor you like)

Instructions:

In a large pot over medium heat add the ground turkey. Cook until browned then drain excess fat. Add the tomato sauce or marinara sauce and bring to a simmer.

Cook for about 15 minutes until heated through then add cooked noodles. Serve with grated cheese, if desired.

Chicken Parmesan Casserole with Ground Turkey:

Ingredients:

-Ground turkey, lean

-Parmesan cheese, shredded

-Mozzarella cheese, shredded

-Egg noodles, cooked according to package directions

-Tomato sauce or marinara sauce (whatever flavor you like)

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a baking dish and set aside. In a large pot over medium heat add the ground turkey. Cook until browned then drain excess fat.

Add the tomato sauce or marinara sauce and bring to a simmer. Cook for about 15 minutes until heated through, stirring occasionally.

In a large bowl mix together all of the ingredients except noodles (cheeses, parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese).

Pour mixture into baking dish and bake uncovered for 20-25 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly. Add cooked noodles to the dish and stir everything together before serving. Enjoy!

Ground Turkey Meatballs :

Ingredients:

-Ground turkey, lean

-Bread crumbs, dry

-Parsley, chopped

-Onion powder

-Garlic powder

-Egg, beaten

-Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. In a large bowl mix together the ground turkey, bread crumbs, parsley, onion powder, garlic powder, egg, and salt and pepper.

Roll mixture into balls using a tablespoon measure to ensure they are all the same size.

Place meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil that has been greased lightly with cooking spray.

Bake for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through. Serve with a marinara sauce for dipping if desired.

Ground Turkey Meatloaf :

Ingredients:

-Ground turkey, lean

-Eggs, beaten well or egg whites used instead of whole eggs (one per every pound of ground turkey)

-Onion powder and garlic powder to taste

-Salt and pepper to taste

-Bread crumbs, dry

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a large bowl mix together the ground turkey, eggs (or egg whites), onion powder and garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

Add enough breadcrumbs so that the mixture is stiff but not overly dry or crumbly. Shape mixture into a loaf and place in greased baking dish.

Bake for 30-40 minutes or until cooked through (meat thermometer should read 165 degrees F). Serve with marinara sauce if desired.

Ground Turkey Tacos :

Ingredients:

-Ground turkey, lean

-Onion powder to taste

-Garlic powder to taste

-Salt and pepper to taste

-Cumin, chili powder, paprika (or taco seasoning)

Instructions:

In a large pot over medium heat add the ground turkey. Cook until browned then drain excess fat.

Add onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper along with cumin, chili powder, and paprika (or taco seasoning).

Cook for about 15 minutes until heated through. Serve in tacos shells with your favorite toppings (lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, sour cream, etc.). Enjoy!
