The Unsolved Murder of Deborah Linsley
On 23rd March 1988 at approximately 2 pm, Deborah’s brother Gordon dropped her off at Orpington station to catch the 2.16. Deborah was travelling back to her job as a hotel head receptionist in Edinburg via London Victoria. She had been in London for the weekend visiting her family and attending a hotel management course.

Active Shooter in Public Setting : How to Respond
Being present in a social setting does exaggerate our senses to another extent. Our observational and acting instincts get extra active to act out for particular situations. Sometimes, in familiar places, we find ourselves in a comfortable shell where we expect that any mishappening wouldn’t take place. Yet on rare occasions, while being off guard, we or somebody we know encounter a certain situation of discrepancy which would affect the peace of some particular spot. These Active Shooter incidents are usually disturbing and tend to leave a long-lasting impact on people.

It’s scary how a person comes out of your heart. You look at him and understand that you have given up hope. He will never be the way you want him to be. There is a bridge between you, which you struggle to cross every day, but he never leans towards you. The emptiness grows inside you, you see the abyss that is being dug, and you feel helpless.

This one is a hard one for me because I hate to judge an entire department by three or four of their officers, who when I have met some of their rookies in passing are good people. They really try. A whole department or their Command Staff behaving like children is understandable. Just a few officers, is a little harder.

When I first began this journey, I knew I didn’t want to copy the same format of other true crime podcasters. I wanted to focus on the victim. However, I realized that to get the real story about a missing person or homicide victim; I needed to speak to someone who knew the real story. I also wanted to focus on victims who have never received much attention from social media, newspapers, television journalists or even law enforcement. Shani Warren was born into a wealthy middle-class family to Joe and Eloise Warren, she had 2 brothers and was the youngest of the 3 children. Shani worked as a secretary at a company called Microscope, but it was a job that she did not like so much and wanted to leave. She lived with 2 housemates in Stoke Poges near Slough, in a house that her parents had bought for her.

The Strange Disappearance Of Brian Shaffer
On Friday, March 31st, 2006 Brian Shaffer finished university before the Spring Break. He met with his father, Randy, and the pair had dinner at an Outback Steakhouse in Columbus, Ohio. After dinner, Brian met with a friend, William “Clint” Florence, and the pair commenced an evening of drinking. They started at the Ugly Tuna Saloona, an OSU campus bar located on North High Street (note, the location of the bar has since moved). After leaving the Ugly Tuna, Brian and Clint went bar hopping.
