Aunt Rachel
To my Aunt Rachel, you are a strong woman. I have known you all my life. It wasn’t until recently though that I’ve really gotten to know you. I’ve always known you were Nana’s sister. I’ve always known you’ve liked those Rafellos as a present. I’ve known you were childhood friends with Uncle Dave before you becam his wife.

Without YOU there is no ME
Sometimes I have so much to say: so many unspoken I love yous and thank yous for all you've done for me and gave me but...A gasp of fear that it might be the last time I ever say those words to you stops me, to keep a hope inside me that we always have tomorrow.

Dear Aunt Shirley
Dear Aunt Shirley, With everything that was going on in my home, I didn’t have much to look up to. My family had no values, no faith, no kind words to speak of. It seemed like everything around me was a free for all. Do what you need to do to survive, that was what I was taught. Survival for me meant trying to understand and at the same time trying to escape the world that I had been plunged into.

Going Home
My father walked me down the aisle when I was 19 years old. As we stood in the back of the chapel waiting for our cue he squeezed my hand and said "Are you sure? Just let me know and we'll keep on walking out the back door." I laughed and told him I was sure.

How I Pranked My Mom
I live in a small town called Evansville and in the flat state of Indiana. Don't worry, this isn't like one of those Pinterest recipes you saw that start off talking about the Pilgrim age of doing things. I'll do my best to get straight to the point. My husband and I pranked my mom. Well, really it was his idea, and I might have tweaked some wording to make it sound like me.

I saw You in a Dream Be Like Me
I am very cautious when I hear people tell me that I dream of you. After, this story maybe you will understand my experience. Well I met my spiritual mom as I was working at my second job. We started sharing our experiences with each other. I would talk to her on the phone often. Then one day was different she said she had to share something with me and as I sat on my mom’s floor about a local pastor being her husband. I told her who I thought he was. She was surprised that I knew and from that day I became her witness to share with her the things I saw and knew about this relationship.
