WIBTA for Telling Client I Dated Her Husband? Ethics Dilemma
Working as a hair stylist often means becoming a trusted listener in people's lives, where conversations can drift from casual small talk to deeply personal stories. But sometimes, those stories unexpectedly connect to your own past in ways that raise ethical and emotional dilemmas. That is exactly what happened to a 28-year-old stylist who recently shared her situation involving a long-term client and a startling recognition of the client’s husband as her former boyfriend.

A Rescue Named Houdini (later switched to Houdi)
This cat is killing me. Her new thing is hide and seek; she used to play tag, but she got bored with that one, and this is her new way of torturing me. She is obsessed with it. And it's nonstop. Unfortunately, we just moved, so there are literally hundreds of places to hide, and she's a cat! Lord, have mercy! We need to get rid of the boxes ASAP bc those are her preferences. She prefers to hide between the boxes. Even worse, if I would rather not play, she finds me and pokes me quickly as a reminder that I can only quit when she says so. Not before. I learned the hard way...those bites!

“Ticking time bomb”
Everyone called me “strong.” They had no idea I was about to explode. And when I did… it wouldn’t just destroy me. I used to be the kind of person people admired. Good grades, calm behavior, always smiling. Teachers trusted me. Friends depended on me. Even at home, I was the “perfect son.” But no one ever asked me if I was okay.

Some More Thoughts On My Writing Difficulties
Introduction Although I publish a lot on Vocal I do have difficulties in writing, and this generates a lot of anxiety in me. I am lucky enough to be able to pull ideas and subjects almost out of the ether, to actually create a Vocal story, while I never seem to hit a writer's block I do seem to continually have the anxiety that goes with that.

What Kind of Person Becomes a Stripper?
I used to wonder what kind of woman becomes a stripper — until I became one. The first time I walked into a club, I remember the light more than anything. Soft, smoky, flattering in a way that daylight never is. It made everything and everyone look beautiful — the walls, the glasses, the women. Especially the women. They moved like they owned gravity, like the floor existed purely to serve them. Confident, magnetic, untouchable. I sat there on a corner stool nursing a drink I hadn't really wanted, watching them from beneath my lashes, and I felt something I hadn't felt in a long time — maybe ever. Hunger. Not for the job, not for the money, not for the attention. For the freedom. The kind that lives in the spine when a woman walks into a room and already knows she belongs there. I wanted that so badly it frightened me.
