My Modeling Career
Ladies and Gentlemen of the Jury. I want to say, in my defense, I was very, very drunk when I decided to say this. On second thought- that’s not a real defense, is it? It was my own choice to get drunk, after all.
Sara ZaidiPublished 3 years ago in ConfessionsThe Nurse's Office
Being a kid who unknowingly had the budding symptoms of OCD and anxiety disorder, I was a little lost on some of the well known do's and don'ts of society.
Kyra LopezPublished 3 years ago in ConfessionsI Got Fired For Being Polite To a Man Who Hit On Me
If you’ve scrolled through TikTok lately, you’ve probably seen a dark-haired lady clapping as she demands women to be polite to men who hit on them, along with replies from hundreds of other TikTokers advising you against this. I can only speak to my own experiences, but I was polite to a man who hit on me and I ended up getting fired for it.

We were among the lucky children growing up in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, New York. Having New York City for a hometown could be very daunting it was not just your typical hometown with a simple Main Street. Children who grew up in small towns, in my eyes, were the lucky ones where everyone knew each other, and you could have a real sense of belonging.
Rasma RaistersPublished 3 years ago in ConfessionsGrandmothers really know how to embarrass you
My brothers and I were raised by our grandmother who was overzealous in caring for us. She said that nothing was going to happen to us on her watch and she went out of her way to make this true. When I was 16 and my brothers 14 and 15 our church held the annual Sunday School at Fairystone State Park near Martinsville, Va. When grandma Pony found out there was a lake for swimming she went ballistic and said none of us were going to drown while she was in charge. I did not know how to swim but my brothers went swimming at local "water holes" with friends in our community.

Cathy DeslippePublished 3 years ago in ConfessionsQ-tips are sharp, trust me.
I am not accident prone, I just find myself in odd situations. Like the time my mother had to bring me to the emergency room at 3:00am, with a pad on my left ear and a medical bandage wrapped tightly around my head.

I'm having a string of bad luck. My printer/scanner/copier died last weekend, and I have over eighty pages I need to print by this coming Sunday. Last Saturday, I fell up the stairs of the church at my cousin's wedding straight into the preacher, who thankfully caught me. My homeowners insurance nearly doubled this year, and I had to scramble to find another company before my mortgage payment increased by $155.00 a month. All of that is discouraging, but Tuesday took the cake.

I was 13 years old so this happened like almost 14 years ago to the day. However, it was embarrassing on so many levels! Why?:
A.A.C.Published 3 years ago in ConfessionsThe night I was voted off the Island
I have had my share of embarrassing moments in life. I am short, have horrible eyesight, wore braces on two different occasions, and I have a hard time pronouncing words like spaghetti, hamburger, and supposedly. I get nervous talking to co-workers, my jokes are only good in my head, and my ‘go-to’ line in heated arguments is ‘Oh really!’
Rose Loren Geer-RobbinsPublished 3 years ago in ConfessionsWhatever time, whatever place, whatever age
I always thought the most embarrassing moments would happen when a human was at an old age, or at an age where others would find any mistake amusing. However that was not the case in my situation. Surprisingly, I actually care about what my fellow high schoolers think about me: if they know how strange I am on the inside; if they assume I’m just the nerdy, book loving girl everyone sees on the outside or if they don’t take notice of me and I’m normally this much of an over thinker. Unfortunately for my reputation, I expect it’s the last option. When these ridiculous memories ponder in my imagination, it’s hard not to panic and keep the fear from reaching my eyes.
