UTV News Ghana's Dr. Despite loves sharing items with those in need on his birthday. He also loves showing off those donations as well. What a classy way to give to the needy, sadly and in all honesty if these donations were given by a white person, the way he's doing it, would bring outrage of racism.

However its dehumanizing no matter who is giving the donations.

Reading the news in African countries has finally broken my entire soul, I've stopped reading and writing about Africa several times. It is so annoying, frustrating and makes me so furious.

One thing that happens in almost every African country, the dehumanizing of Africans in the name of showing off your donations.

Donations that can be photographed and even if people want to show their photos of with the donations that is their choice.

However this trauma porn of taking videos and photos of giving out food and money is such a heartbreaking thing to do. Especially when it is food and money.

The same thing when someone is visiting the sick injured or ill in the hospital. This has happened several times in the United States by the way. Africa isn't the only place where giving out donations for social media clout is considered normal.

Even though its very disgusting.

In this video below Ghanaian Wendy Shay takes a camera crew to a sick man's bedside in a hospital. In the video she speaks about herself in third person, she then makes this ill man sit up to take an envelope which she claims has money inside.

She clearly did this as a publicity stunt for attention, not for the man's wellbeing!

Same way the Ghana police visited an injured police officer who survived an accent in which 3 Ghana police officers died.

In an article entitled 'Poverty Porn, the Unethical Way to Save the Poor'

Emaciated children with flies buzzing around reach their hands out to you, their bodies covered with filth and their surroundings almost inhospitable, their protruding ribcages looking like they would burst out of their bodies any second. Have you ever seen disturbing images like these? This is, in fact, a common advertising strategy used by charity organisations - poverty porn.

By using hard-hitting and troubling images, charities make use of the empathetic nature of humans to induce them to donate money. This concept was first introduced in the 1980s and quickly became a trend within charity campaigns, some of these campaigns were very successful in raising money by using poverty porn. But, believe it or not, despite raising money for the poor, poverty porn actually harms people who are in poverty.

Poverty is misrepresented in poverty porn. Contrary to popular belief, poverty is much more than just a simple economic issue; social, political and cultural factors all contribute to shaping this undesirable situation. By portraying the problems of the poor as simply just suffering, such as homelessness, starvation and inadequate healthcare, poverty porn is actually leading the general public into thinking that people in poverty only lack materialistic resources, creating stereotypes and changing how the general public perceives the hardships of poverty in this process.

Upon donating 200,000 GHS to children at a hearing and vision impaired school, they made these children hold this money, paraded them around for a video and photos.

UTV News Ghana is owned by Despite media, this media outlet posts & promotes homophobia, sexism and humiliation against Ghanian women. I have even caught this "so-called" news outlet posting an old video of Burkina Faso's interim President Captain Ibrahim Traoré.

They were claiming that the year old video was from his return from the Russia-Africa summit, however it was from the day he took power of Burkina Faso. People shared this video so much that it had to be fact-checked as false.

They've done the same with old posts from homophobic African leader Museveni the president of Uganda.

They even used the breast of a female employee, not once but several times. To which many Ghanaians actually begged them to remove the photos of the woman's breasts.

Also almost every October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, UTV News also makes sexual and inappropriate jokes about women's breasts. So there is no wonder that every year on Despite's birthday, they post poverty porn of him giving donations. In the most humiliating ways as well.

Donations giving to the most needy people in the world in such a way to demean and belittle them.

For some reasons Black Africans continue this process of giving food donations and making Africans kneel or sit on the ground next to the food. This is such a horrible way to give donations to any human.

Isn't there a classier way to give out donations? Of course there is but then those giving the donations can't show off their giving.
