Mystery
Again, We’ll Ask the Questions
In our last episode, Ben had not had a good weekend. His home football team, the Gunadoo Crocodiles, had lost the Grand Final by a point. At the game, he saw his childhood sweetheart, Lindy Lookinsogood. She had just married his best schoolmate. He couldn’t blame her; she was gorgeous.

Glass Winter | Chapter XXIV
The trees induced both a storm of despair and sublime awe in Sevt, brewing quietly in his chest like an encroaching thief in the night. Their surfaces shimmered in frozen sheens as he limped past with a light in one hand and a crutch under his other arm. Overhead, through a coniferous canopy cloaked in snow, their people’s guiding lights slowly danced across the skies. Even without his lantern staff, Sevt could see far enough with their glow, the woods suspended in an eternal twilight.

Deliverance: A Salem Story
Chapter I: The Unbroken Thread The morning sun over the Massachusetts Bay Colony did not warm; it pierced. It cut through the dense, suffocating canopy of the Salem woods like iron spikes, casting long, fractured shadows across the threshold of the Hawthorne homestead. Deliverance stepped out into the biting air, her breath blooming into a brief, pale cloud. She felt an unusual lightness in her chest, a residual warmth from a dream she could no longer fully assemble. In the dream, there had been no salt-stiffened wool scratching at her collar, no heavy silences stretching across her father’s dinner table, and no low, rhythmic chanting of scripture meant to wall out the vast, untamed wilderness. There had only been a wide, golden field and a voice that knew her name without needing to speak it. She smoothed her white apron, determined to carry that fragile peace into her morning routine. She took the heavy wooden bucket from the porch and walked toward the well, her boots crunching rhythmically on the frosted earth. The village of Oakhaven was already stirring, though it was a joyless sort of motion.

Orchestral Movements in the Dark!
Last Episode Ben had got himself into a real pickle – sexual harassment for telling Penny Promo that he didn’t like the way her bits wobbled. He meant the bits on her pen, but Penny hadn’t seen it that way. He’d had a conversation with Calvernicus, the father of compliance (or had he?). He was looking forward to his dinner with Jemima, but was worried about the bonding session, 'boys’ night out’ he'd had with Mr T and Glenny.
