Mara Edwards
Bio
I've always loved writing, and in the 8th Grade I would turn in chapters of a small story I was writing for class credit. I've always had a fascination with the supernatural and paranormal, and I'd love to follow my passion.

Aftermath
The battle had been fierce, the clash of swords echoing through the snowy peaks of the mountain. Blood stained the pure white snow, a stark contrast to the serene landscape. As the dust and smoke settled, the survivors emerged, battered and weary. They had fought for their kingdoms, but at what cost? The once majestic mountain now lay in ruins, scarred by the violence that had taken place. Amidst the wreckage, the survivors converged. Each warriors of varying degrees, but sharing heavy hearts and heavy burdens; for the victory had come at a great price, the loss of friends and comrades on all sides.

You Weren't Here Long Enough
There are three things I know when it comes to you, Caleb, and they are as follows: You were one of the best cats I have ever had in my near twenty-six years, you weren't here near long enough (only near six years), and I will never be able to thank my cousin Justin enough for deciding to give you to us after you were born. I fell in love with you and your half-brother in an instant, and you were my first Manx, Little Buddy, and the two of you were my first set of half-brothers. Every animal I've had has been more than just a pet, and you were no exception; you always knew how to make me feel better when I was sick, or upset in any way, and with the way my life's been going lately, you've been so much more than just my cat: You've been my best friend and my shoulder to cry on, more so than any human friend ever has been.

After The Uprising
Hidden within the willow trees of Willow Falls is a smial, said to have once been the meeting place of the Guardians of the Glen of Willows. These Guardians met every fortnight to train for future battles and to discuss ways to better protect the home they had sworn to, from the evils of their less mystical kin. This, was, of course, before The Uprising, during which all Magical and Mystical Fold were hunted down, rounded up, and… well, no one has ever been precisely sure, as the humans have always had their own interpretation of history.

The Abandoned Cabin
The cabin in the woods had been abandoned for years, but one night, a candle burned in the window. Jameson shouldn't have been out there, that night, but he stumbled out from the thicket, scraping his hands on the rocks as he hit the ground. He had come out to the woods to escape from the stress for a while, but once he had seen that candle flickering in the distance, he forgot what he was stressed about.

Dads Are No Joke
I have often found myself thinking of everything I've learned in my twenty-four years (and counting), here on Earth. I needn't wonder about where I get my love for animals -big and small-, or my passion for literature. I needn't wonder about where and when my passions for history and music awakened. My love for fishing and marksmanship, and even gaming... There are so many things that run through my head each day and I smile at the memories.
