Hey everyone! So I've been struggling from really bad acne since I was in the 4th grade (9 years old!). It sucks growing up being a kid with nasty acne, especially being surrounded by people with pretty skin. I have always been trying medicine and different ways to get rid of my acne, but I have finally said, "Enough is Enough!" and decided to get a skin regime going and sticking to it! 2018 is my year for healthy, glowing skin!
Who doesn't love a spa day? But let's be honest, a full day of pampering can drain your wallet just as quickly as a trip to Macy's and since you're in public you have to look cute before and after right? So what's the solution, an at home DIY spa day. You could even get your best girlfriends together and throw a PJs and pampering party, but I'd probably narrow down the steps if there are more than three people.
The winters can be terribly drying, especially here in Colorado. I have been living and dreaming in Colorado for the majority of my life and I know that the winters can be harsh on the skin and hair. So lets talk about the three main changes I make in my winter beauty routine.
Every girl I know has heard of the many things that coconut oil is good for. I saw a picture that said “I’ve got 99 problems and coconut oil fixed like 86 of them.” That pretty much sums it up.
On a rare day, my husband is home all day long. He lovingly gives me the opportunity to have some time to myself. I try to allow my husband the same luxury as well, especially because we mostly care for our son ourselves. When we decide we are going to give the other the day, we can use it any way we like. I personally, like to stay in and have a home spa day.
South Korea is renowned for having quality skincare. Over the past couple years, Korean skincare has grabbed the attention of the West with its affordable and highly effective facial products. Korean skincare is also notorious for having a large range of products that may be overwhelming to Westerners who are unfamiliar with such products. The 10-step Korean skincare routine has recently gained attention by its (perceived to be) lengthy, complicated process, and by the people who swear by it. While many people believe they do not have time for a daily 10-step skincare routine, one might be surprised how undemanding the practice actually is.
Women are good at faking it, we all know this. We fake confidence, we fake “having it all together” and of course, on occasion, we fake it in the bedroom. That’s not where the pretending ends though, after a night of no sleep, whether it be from a cranky baby or a late booze-filled night, we are sometimes forced to fake a well rested and motivated game face.
Is there anything worse than waking up and realizing your roots have once again betrayed you during the night and become a grotesque, oily mess?
