When one embarks on a girl's trip to Mexico at 18 with three of her closest friends, there are bound to be shenanigans. Hopefully not dreadful, getting tied up in some Mexican Cartel drug situation type shenanigans, but you know, the normal kind of shenanigans. Is this the most someone has ever used the word shenanigans in an introductory paragraph? I hope so.

“A beard is the ultimate proof of patience.” I have faced all the troubles with a beard that an ordinary guy normally tends to have — like patches, dryness, itchiness, and foremost tangles. I never even tried to believe that I could grow a full beard one day. I thought it’s something of a privilege, that these elite people get to possess. I also had a legit reason to believe that — I tried like a million times to grow a good beard from my early teen days and as you might have guessed, I failed terribly every single time. If one thing went right the other thing would go wrong and at last, my beard would be nothing more than just a mess.

Hey, all you beauty lovers out there, (I bet you thought I was gonna go Carole Baskin on you there, didn’t ya?) :D My name is Esther Georges and I am here to share what I consider to be my HOLY GRAIL products, with you! Now, I must admit, I don’t do this a lot at all, so I genuinely do hope you guys will appreciate it. Skincare is beyond important to me and I do love to take care of my skin, so I will talk about those today. As far as makeup products go, I would love to share my kingdom of gazillion makeup powerhouses with you, but I will keep it light, considering only few of my things I actually do count as the “Holy Grail” when it comes to all things beauty. Let’s jump right into it, I guess. :D Honestly, I used to call myself a morning person, but nowadays, (perhaps it’s the weather getting to me) it takes me double the caffeine to get me going and extra cold water on my face to really wake me the heck up. With that being said, I have to mention my 2X Starbucks Coffee that I so happily take in the morning, which really is what’s responsible for keeping me alert during the day and focused on taking care of my skin and getting the contour right ;) (Totally joking, although have to admit I am more of a “blush n’ go” kind of girl, at least for now, with the mask wearing situation).
I have never been much of a make-up person. Growing up in a strictly religious environment, I never saw any women around me wearing it, and if any did, it was frowned upon. It was slutty; sinful.
There was a point in time I didn’t know the difference between lotion and moisturizer. Hell, there was a time I didn’t even know what contouring was, let alone how to do it correctly.
Christmas got a lot better when my sister, Kelly, got a job at Dillard’s department store in 1980, complete with an employee discount which she took full advantage of. My parents had declared my brother, sister and me too old for gift giving years before, when I was only eight, but suddenly at fourteen my sister had brought it back into my life and she never disappointed. The gift I craved the most? Makeup. The gift she always plied me with, large, lush and lavish holiday gift boxes of premium department store makeup. Whether it was Estee Lauder or Clinique or some other fine brand, the name I no longer can recall, it was one plastic suitcase full of prime color after another, year in and year out, and I couldn’t have been more thrilled. One year she even threw in a denim dress by Calvin Klein that didn’t even reach my knees, and another year, a generous bottle of Chanel number five. And then she would “do” my makeup for me. And then a little later I would sneak back in front of the mirror and “do” it a little louder by myself, glorying in all the colors on the fold away trays and slide out discs.
Beauty is defined inside and out . We are faced with laws of nature or human existance. Everybody does have a favorite. We have no doubt enjoyed items on the market.
As a teenager I had pretty bad acne and tried everything on the market that I could get my hands on to make it all just go away. Unfortunately nothing worked. In fact some of the products were quite harsh; drying out my skin, some even irritating my skin further, causing more breakouts. I was also guilty of squeezing and popping pimples; a big no- no. To try and cover it all up I would pile on foundation and makeup. This actually drew more attention to my face and my skin continued to suffer. I endured this all throughout high school and in cycles into my adult years. Finally things settled down and in my 30s’ I found myself acne free for good!
