11 New Palettes and My Tiff with Them
Disclaimer: This is a first impression based on online viewing only. In other words, I saw it online and recorded my impression based on that first online viewing. It could be either pro-consumeristic or anti-consumeristic. Read to find out how individual palettes make me feel.
Heeta JoshiPublished 6 years ago in Blush10 Best Face Self Tanners for Acne Prone Skin
Self-tanners are a tricky business to begin with. You have to find the right products, and apply them the right way to avoid orangey disasters, streaks, over-tanning, and missed spots. It's daunting for anyone. Add on top of that the risk of causing a nasty acne breakout? Is it even worth it?
Nicola P. YoungPublished 6 years ago in BlushThe Need to Know About Tattoos
In this day and age, we all know someone who has a tattoo or a lot of them. I myself fall into the category of having many of them. Over the years, I have sat in the comfy black chair and allowed someone to stab my skin with colorful inked needles for hours on end. What I would like to share today is all the wonderful new things about tattoos, how far they have come in society, and how to tell if the person putting that permanent tattoo on you is right for you.
Camille BallentinePublished 6 years ago in Blush10 Beauty Collaborations That Make You Wonder What's Going on with the World
If there's one thing that cosmetics brands have started to enjoy doing, it's beauty collaborations. These collaborations involve having brands or celebrities create color palettes and beauty products that feature themes linked to them.
Sasha KonikovoPublished 6 years ago in BlushRed Hair
Is it just me or has red hair suddenly taken over the hair scene? Seems like yesterday everyone wanted bleach blonde hair, or blue tips to show how rebellious you are, or even the full on Emo/Goth black look. Don't try to deny it, we've all made hair mistakes right?
Krysten MichelePublished 6 years ago in BlushIs Eco Styler Gel Really Canceled?
WHAT IN THE baby hairs is going on here? The first time I heard about Eco Styler Gel being cancelled, I didn't understand why. This was the only gel I used that could actually lay my natural 4c hair down. It's the only thing that could slick my ponytail back with some beeswax and the only thing that made my curls pop when I decided to do a twist out. I was so over it. When I saw the videos online and articles online, I didn't care about what everyone was saying because this is the only thing I wanted to use.
The Real Reason Why Your Acne Is Still Not Going Away
I've struggled with acne for an excessively long time. As a teen who always has felt pressured to be more beautiful, the first thought that always came to my mind when trying to be pretty was my skin.
Ultimate Skin Care Guide
For being the biggest organ the human body has, skin is so overlooked. Surprising considering there are aisles upon aisles of skin products in supermarkets everywhere. Yet most people skip over all of it, barely even washing their face at the end of the night. Crazy!
Brittney HeathPublished 6 years ago in BlushIndependent Brands in Sephora
Disclaimer: If I am wrong about any, then please forgive me on that score. I tried my best. Therefore, take what I list with a grain of salt and do your own research. An indie brand essentially does not have a parent company (ie. constant backing, or outright ownership from the bigger shark) as per my opinion of it.
Heeta JoshiPublished 6 years ago in Blush10 Beauty Benefits of Aloe Vera
Aloe Vera is a beautiful, transparent gel that derives from the Aloe plant, that contains a plethora of benefits. It was originally grown in Africa and now can be found all around the world, from the Mediterranean to some parts of The United States. Over the course of history, it has been used in many different ways across many different cultures. In fact, this plant is so amazing that almost 6,000 years ago, ancient Egyptians deemed it the “plant of immortality.” It is believed that Egyptian [and beauty] queens Cleopatra and Nefertiti used it in their daily beauty routines. The Native Americans and Greeks utilized the gel for its’ medicinal properties, in order to fix various types of skin issues, such as treating wounds.

7 Makeup Products that Broke the Internet
The first thing I think of when I think viral makeup is the infamous Kylie Lip Kit. Kylie Jenner launched her beauty brand on November 30, 2015, with the $29 lip kits (pairs of matte liquid lipsticks matched with a lip liner in nude, pink and brown) selling out immediately at Kylie Cosmetics. The internet couldn't get enough, with the lip kits quickly becoming the must-have lip product of the year. Since then, Kylie has expanded her brand to a whole range of products and collections, launching collaborations with Khloe and Kris as well as birthday, Christmas, Valentine's, and holiday collections. Whilst these have also sold at record rates, it can't be denied that the lip kit was the viral trend that started it all.
Izzy CaterPublished 6 years ago in Blush 11 New Palettes and My Tiff with Them
Disclaimer: I do not know why I have been writing “tift” instead of tiff in my titles. Despite knowing that it felt wrong. I work too many days, that’s my excuse. Regardless, forgive me for the embarrassing mistake. Moving on, critiquing is not hating (a dictionary would tell you that). And if you feel free to disagree, then this post may not be for you. Credit goes to Trendmood for keeping people posted about the makeup industry. This is a first impression based on online viewing only. I have not had the chance to see or touch any of these physically.
