New Nudes by Huda Beauty
Pigment All of the mattes and shimmers have stellar pigmentation on my medium/honey/tan neutral undertone skin. They do translate as different colours for me. But I have seen people with much fairer complexions state that all the colours translate as the same thing for them. So generally, while I do think that whatever works for me will most definitely work for someone lighter. And that is what I have seen even with this particular palette online for the most part. But I have heard some negative reviews from lighter people about it being muddy for them. I cannot apply the same logic with darker skin people, because whatever works for me does not necessarily work for darker people. But I have seen many darker people loving the palette.
Are Beauty Anti-Hauls Negative?
Disclaimer: I simply use Anastasia Beverly Hills as an example here. Whatever I say is applicable to most brands. ABH simply is the best known. No need to hyperventilate.
The Best vs. the Worst Holiday Themes
We are going to start with the best, and then the worst themed eyeshadow palettes of this season. So if you want to avoid the "negativity" aka constructive criticism, then you are well warned.
Natasha Denona: The Gold Palette
Disclaimer: There is a difference between a constructive critique and negative criticism. If you do not know the difference, then this not the post for you.
Brands That Release Too Much Too Soon
Disclaimer: This is an open, honest, and polite opinion. You are free to disagree, but there is no room or justification for vulgarity. That’s a reflection on you, not me.
De’lanci Maelstrom Palette
Disclaimer: I am in love with this palette! Now this is the true “a bang for your buck.” Again though, nothing is ever a hundred for me. Waiting for the day that a palette ends up being perfect for me. But then again nothing is ever perfect. But here’s a positive experience after the last two slumps.
BoxyCharm: Three Month Subscription Plan
So I subscribed to BoxyCharm on June 27, 2018. There were two reasons I subscribed for the three month plan. One, I saved a tiny bit of money comparatively to the usual 21 USD per month. Two, I felt that just getting it for one month would not be a fair shot towards BoxyCharm.
The Dynasty Palette By Certifeye
Disclaimer: I am not a business supporter, I am a customer supporter, always. Aka, I am a ME supporter. I always want results from a purchase that satisfy me. It also does not take away the fact that I did pay a high end price to get the palette in my hands. The question then is was the palette worth every bit of coin I parted from? Read and you will quickly find it out.
11 New Palettes and My Tiff with Them (Pt. 8)
Disclaimer: Information was gathered via trendmood, indiemakeupspotlight, and Indvidual brands’ social media and web shops. If links are missing for some, then the palettes still have not been released on online stores. I was going to write a whole article about colourpop’s collaboration with Disney, but I got lazy. But it’s on number 11 and a bit long. I skim edit rarely, so mistakes are likely.
11 New Eyeshadow Palettes and My Tiff with Them (Pt. 7)
Disclaimer: Bleh. 1. Cherry Blossom Palette by KKW Beauty Buy here. One, I don’t see any popping cherry blossom shades in there. Two, what’s with the non-pinkish or non-whitish packaging? Three, not for me and that sucks because cherry blossoms are so my aesthetic.
11 Palettes and My Tiff with Them (Pt. 6)
Disclaimer: At this point everyone should know that a polite sensible opinion is not being hateful. Sources: Trendmood, Indie Makeup Spotlight, and Brands’ Websites
The Malika by Blush Tribe
Disclaimer: This is not a full review because I won’t have used and/or tested all the shadows, as this a very new product in my collection. I am a neutral reviewer, or I try to be. So nothing is ever a hundred for me, because everything and everyone has their imperfections. This is more on the unimpressed side.
