synth
Where there's cheesy 80's music, there's undoubtedly a synthesizer somewhere in the mix..
Women of Sound
I have tried to keep up with what is on the charts, but I am not as devoted to the top-forty hits as I once was. As much as I like the noises of Billie, Dua, Taylor and Queen Bee, I still find myself going back to the other side of the equation, meaning the ones who should be bigger. You like Beyonce? I go for Janelle Monae. Taylor Swift? Give me St. Vincent. And Billie Eilish may be hard to categorize, but Bjork got there first. So, pop music will go on, but I want a little bit more.

The Quest for the Cosmic Cake
Title: "The Quest for the Cosmic Cake" In the outer reaches of our celestial neighborhood, beyond the familiar planets and into the cosmic unknown, there lived an astronaut named Cosmo. Cosmo, a whimsical character with a helmet adorned with stickers of planets and stars, harbored a peculiar dream – a dream of a cake, not just any cake, but a cosmic confection.
Merzbow - Material Action 2
A heaping dollop of noisiness from the long-time Japanoise king, Masami Akita, a.k.a. "Merzbow," who has been going since 1978 and has a hundred and forty million albums of this stuff. Here, we have a heavy collage of bang and clang, intercut with high, piercing, synth whistling but it never does in any way get dull. The feeling is that one is inside the bowls of some great, futuristic tin horn beast from a demonic bestiary located somewhere south of Chiba City and somewhere north of the Sprawl. Strings are plucked behind the wall of noise, there is always the sensation of movement...movement...movement forward in sound, a process of progression.

I am a huge fan of music. Some people say my love for music teeters on obsession and they might quite be right. I started collecting records (yes, the old vinyl ones with pops and scratches) in 1972. I was 12 years old. By 1997 I amassed a collection of more than 17,000 record albums and more than 12,000 seven inch singles. At my peak of record collecting I owned 30,000 pieces of vinyl.
Rick Henry ChristopherPublished 5 months ago in BeatPink Floyd - Live at Pompeii
Pink Floyd gathered in the amphitheater in the ruins of Pompeii in 1972 to film one of the greatest concert films and documentaries of a rock group of the psychedelic era. Set amid the ruins of the devastated ancient city, the camera slides up and down, panning left and right over the painted frescoes and grim mosaics that document the lives and loves of ancient people, providing a sort of glimpse into the fate of beings cut short through the sheer absurdity of catastrophic misfortune. Out of the mercurial swamp of the lave flow of Vesuvius, we have the stuff from which is born, from the burbling earth, a new and more magnificent ruin for which time will still have no pity, no mercy, or no remorse.

Halloween is a time for soaping cars, vandalizing your neighbor's house with toilet paper rolls, playing with Ouija Boards, trespassing into graveyards at night, and who knows? maybe committing mass human sacrifice at some hitherto undisclosed location run by a drug cartel in Buenos Aires and presided over by a huge, skulking, black-clad woman named Juanita. It's all fun and games until someone loses a soul.
