BRING IT BACK
Trends and styles always seem to find their way back into space and time. The famous bell bottoms from the 70’s and jumpers from the 90’s seem to be a popular hit amongst us Americans. Although those are a couple of items I love to see return, I believe that fashion designers have a interesting effect on life to recreate and event art using their resources, and similar styles in different ways.

Reading and Pain
This morning I started the second book in the Adversary series by F Paul Wilson (“The Tomb” introducing, I think , Repairman Jack) after finishing “The Keep” which I found a good read although it’s not to everyone’s taste. Second World War intertwined with Gothic horror and “The Tomb” is a continuation although the ending of “The Keep” did not really indicate that there may be a sequel. The Michael Mann was apparently a financial and artistic disaster but does have a cult following but with Ian McKellen and Gabriel Byrne in the cast I will have to revisit it. I am sure I have watched it, but like so many many times I think I thought the film was not up to the book.

A couple of days ago on my Instagram #MusicWhileYouWork sequence i shared some of "Stay Awake" a collection of off the wall takes on Disney classics and the opener "Hey Diddle Dee Dee, An Actors Life For Me" from "Pinocchio" featured a spoken rap by someone called Ken Nordine who I was sort of unaware of but I, and you, have probably heard his voice.

Unpopular Opinion: I love the incorporation of modern music in old time settings. It’s cringy to some, annoying to most—-and cloying and a bit pretentious to others—but the point I will make (in an attempt to understand the director’s decision) is this:

I realised a few things when I first started curating the optimal contributions to my studying music playlists around two years ago:
Film Scores for Focus
There are many benefits to music. Whether it is playing an instrument or listening to your favorite band, music can unlock creativity, spark inspiration, increase focus, and boost your mood. Especially when I need to increase my productivity, I look to music to center myself.
The Sound Of Summer 'Get To Know You'
It's always refreshing to see authentic talent step up to the plate and combat the conveyer belt pop music that often dominates the airwaves. Delivering a production that transcends a broad demographic Bethan Wyn lands with an exciting new single that will lift her profile and audience dramatically.

Zen is a State of Mind; Music is a State of Action
A strange mix of anxiety and anger stir inside my stomach as I cannot help but lose hope every time I leave my home and realise what is happening to my country. I have been a UK resident for just over 16 years now (I originate from Poland) and have endured my share of hardship in my life, simply for being born on the wrong side of the line in the sand. From school bullying, petty theft of toys, and a constant bombardment of racist remarks, to workplace racism, refusal of opportunities, wrongful pay, and the rise and aftermath of Brexit, I’ve endured my fair share of pain. Life has been nothing close to smooth, but I stood my ground, continued to challenge myself, and moved forward. Despite everything I have lived through, for the first time in my life I am truly petrified to live in the UK as this time, it’s no longer personal, but tyrannical.
