“On Halloween, witches come true; wild ghosts escape from dreams. Each monster dances in the park.” ~Nicholas Gordon

It's here, it's here, it's here! Halloween time at last! LET THE FESTIVITIES BEGIN!

One of the ways that I, and I am sure many others, get into any holiday spirit is through listening to seasonally appropriate music.

For the month of October (and sometimes the last few weeks of September), I fire up my Autumn Crisp playlist on Spotify, which is full of spooky tunes to get into the mood for Halloween as well as songs that simply celebrate the best season of the year - fall!

“Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower.” ~Albert Camus

I started posting using the hashtag #SpookyTune back in 2020 to add a bit of spice to the season. (I think we can all agree the year 2020 was rough on all of us, we needed some reasons to celebrate.) For each day in October, I posted a new song across my social media accounts as part of my #SpookyTunes 2020 playlist. Click here to see 2020's list.

Well, today is Halloween, which means that my #SpookyTunes 2021 playlist is now complete! I have created playlists on both Spotify and YouTube (just search for #SpookyTunes 2021).

What's unique about this year's playlist is that I have included a couple of local Michigan artists. Angela Predhomme is a singer-songwriter I used to watch perform in Ann Arbor (in the Before Times). Fangs and Twang are a country band from Ypsilanti that sing about monsters and folklore. I hope you like them as much as I do!

Here is the Spotify playlist:

And here is the YouTube:

And for convenience's sake, or if the playlists aren't working for you (perhaps you don't use Spotify or YouTube to listen to music), I will list all of the songs below as well.
