Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Legally Blonde Will Be Electric
Spring break over and sports in between seasons, the high school student activity might seem on hiatus. Not the case, the John Jay Theater Workshop is ready with Legally Blonde. But if pulling up your legal briefs or dying your hair doesn’t sound like a fun night and/or celebrate the home grown talent, the counter is pretty easy to make, according to one cast member.

It's weird, staring down the barrel of thirty years. You have lines most indelibly etched into your steadily sagging face. Your bones hurt a lot more; there's less energy. You're taking a tackle box full of medication, and your hopes and dreams swirled down the rusted drain pipe of yesteryear, along with your ability to lose belly fat, retain hair, or get an erection.

Introduction Whenever I am away I always hope to find somewhere where I can buy a record or two, with a preference for vinyl, if I find it interesting enough. I do have a huge CD and digital collection so I seldom buy things in digital format, and the reality is that I don't need any more vinyl but often find something that piques my interest.
Mike Singleton - MikeydredPublished 23 days ago in BeatWhy the Beyoncé Backlash?
Beyoncé, inarguably one of the most iconic artists of our era, inspires an odd dichotomy of reactions. There's the fiercely devoted fanbase, buzzing with each new release. And then there's the curiously vocal contingent of detractors whose disdain for the artist seems wholly unconnected to any concrete critique of her work. Beyoncé's recent foray into country music with "Act II: Cowboy Carter" has reignited this puzzling phenomenon.

Gnoomes - Loops A big gigging weekend starts at Stockton Calling and continues on Easter Sunday with Gnoomes playing Newcastle’s Cumberland Arms. The latter gig, in support of last year’s Ax Ox album, might be a bit special. Gnoomes are that rare thing: an independent Russian band. It won’t come as much of a surprise that, in a country where most things are centralized, grassroots cultural life is also greeted with suspicion. Hailing from Perm, a Ural city that briefly enjoyed a reputation as a provincial centre for experimental, contemporary art, Gnoomes has little choice but to embrace outsider status.
