Well last month finally seen autumnal weather hit us, a little later than usual most probably due to climate change, which in itself is ironic as my city of Glasgow hosts COP26. The tree’s have now practically dropped all their leaves, and the wet and windy weather is giving way to shorter, darker colder days and nights. So it’s time to get cosy, crank the heating up (not too warm now, think of the planet) and enjoy home comforts while the weather shifts closer to winter.

Jide OkonjoPublished 3 years ago in BeatSantana's Blessings and miracles - Album review
Here we are once more, another new release for us to dwell upon. I was looking forward to take me time and proper listen to this new material by Santana. Coming from the outstanding Santana IV, my expectations were high on this one. Even thought his Africa Speaks was forgettable to say the least. Santana has this ability to come up with new material and surf the wave of trends. When the hippie movement was in full blossom, he managed to flawlessly blend latin music with rock. The result, songs that moved the audience, rhythms so contagious that people were simply compelled to dance and leave their inhibitions behind.
Giovanni ProfetaPublished 3 years ago in BeatExamples of cultural sharing in modern music
Modern popular western music owes a lot to black folks. Blues, rhythm and blues, jazz, rock and roll and now Hip Hop, from W. C. Handy to Little Richard to Miles Davis to Biggie. It would be very hard to find a musical historian denying the fact that black musicians have been at the forefront of popular music for more than a while now.
Why I ONLY Listen to Lo-Fi Music & You SHOULD Too!
I fell in love with lo-fi music the second I heard it. It was perfect, almost like if it was created perfectly for me. I work 14-hour days and struggle to concentrate and lo-fi music helps me get SO MUCH done. I can literally work for hours and hours and don’t even realize that I have been sitting in my office chair for such a long time.

My absolute favourite past time has always been to dance and to dance, I need music. This is where my love of music began. At first it was children's rhymes and knee jerking movements that can never be replicated, but when I danced I was on top of the world.
Colleen MillsteedPublished 3 years ago in Beat"Lackawanna Blues"
"Lackawanna Blues" at MTC is a one man show written, directed and starring Rueben Santiago-Hudson. The shows nexus is based on his life and the people that he knew in Lackawanna, New York growing up there. The writer is passionate about this play and he gives it his all. Set in the backdrop of a once industrial building (looked like an old textile plant), Michael Carnahan gives his set a feel of a town that was once vibrant as Lackawanna once was. Santiago-Hudson never really tells us just what happened to his town, if anything. He is also not very clear in what years things happen in his life. He paints broad strokes about Jackie Robinson and the 1973 Supreme Court case on segregation. Other than a few mentions, however, he never really paints the picture of what was happening in America as he went along in this ninety minute intermission less play.
Robert M Massimi. ( Broadway Bob).Published 3 years ago in BeatSongs Featuring Steel Guitar
There is a Youtube playlist embedded at the end of this article. What do Sheryl Crow, The Grateful Dead, The Rolling Stones, George Harrison, Bruce Springsteen, Van Morrison, Judy Collins, Steely Dan and many other popular folk and rock stars have in common? All have used steel guitar in their music at one time or another. I never realized how ubiquitous this instrument was until I started listening to the nominations for this topic. It most decidedly is not just an instrument used for country music and Hawaiian music.
