The Golden Hue Of The Sunset
The sun was about to set in next 15-20 min. Ranjan found out an empty bench and sat. Felt lucky to find one at outram ghat at this time of the evening. He looked around .. happy faces everywhere. Couples, families, lovers .... every one is happy right now. The month of November .. winter was yet to set in and it was not too hot too. Perfect weather to come to this place.

Trapped
Sometimes I ask myself - “Is it the way I thought my life would be?” and the other moment I am sad, upset, irritated and pissed-off with everything around me. My friends usually come to me to ask me out to play or to join in their chats but all I want is to sit quietly. Something inside me says- “it’s not worth spending time with anyone, no one loves me, I don’t belong here”.

An Unforgettable Visit
I have often wondered what it would be like to come and visit you. I would love to see your town and more importantly, you. I think I would come in May or early June... I would maybe wear white slacks with a silky red or pink blouse, low healed shoes, my pearl studs and a very big smile. I could picture my flight and feel the excitement. Then the cab ride over to your house and the slow walk up to your house. I can even see you opening the door for me and taking my suitcase as you invite me in.

Bride to be....
My arranged marriage to Ajay Mehta was intended to heal longstanding rifts in our family. Growing up, I understood the importance of it, and resigned myself to a life without romance. Because Ajay's father was an influential businessman, my own father's fortunes changed considerably, so that at age eighteen I became the first girl from our village to make the journey from Uttar Pradesh to a US college. Now, four years later, I made the journey back with some dread.

Lust
The morning's massage helped a very great deal. The stomach was clear, the knots in my back and shoulders had gone and I felt strong and fit. I'd kept light at dinner so I wasn't feeling very bloated. Before I left for dinner I was feeling a whole lot hornier, and it seemed to have waned a little by the time we got back around 11:15. Madhu was pretty much on the cusp and had I not insisted, it could well have gone into yet another night of aridity.

The overture
Prologue The air was thick with the bittersweet tang of blood. Crows and wolves were already gathering for the feast. A sound could be heard every now and again amongst the dead and the dying; sometimes a cry for help, mostly an injunction for blessed release. Soldiers moved around the dead bodies, helping those that could be saved out of the battlefield and helping those that could not, out of their misery. Other figures moved too, helping themselves to whatever valuables could be found on men who needed them no more. Washing his hands of the blood and the grime, Balaen Stramar watched the proceedings dispassionately, having watched this macabre scene more times than he wanted to. His weary eyes spotted riders, silhouetted against the setting sun, heading towards him and raising a small cloud of dust in their wake.
