My Writers Block
This is the nearest thing I have to writers block. The next eight days will see a lot of me not being on Facebook, and part of that worries me slightly. Because I am not interacting most people won’t say “Where’s Mike” it will just be I don’t exist any more. If I never posted again people would not notice.

By The Lights of Cyrian
Over the last few days I have been getting a physical feeling , I don’t know how to describe. My Muse asked me to tell her what it was and I couldn’t, I had no words for it. I know what was causing it . My love for her. It makes me feel good , I am feeling it now , but cannot describe it. Then I played “Seventeen Going Under” by Sam Fender (video at the end, watch it , filmed close to where I live and the lad is The Shields Springsteen) and that record gets better every time, and I got goose bumps and I got something of that feeling, that is what the love my Muse gives to me feels like, goose bumps without the goosebumps

The Glamourous Owl
From Lord of the Rings the Elvish warning from the pen of JRR Tolkien A Warning The entire poem reads Three Rings for the Elven-kings under the sky, Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone, Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die, One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie. One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them, One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.

Addicted To Words
I often share memes , stories and pictures with friends and get responses, and zones I want to reshare but find I have lost the original piece which disappoints me as I feel I should be able to remember what was said or where that picture was

A Quiet Week In Thirsk
I thought I would write about my week in Thirsk. I have to be honest, Thirsk is not the most exciting or spectacular place to visit, but is beautiful and relaxing, and the flat I take in Little Green Mews next to St James' Green is nothing short of perfect. You can see it here

Dancin' With My Muse
After my last poem for my Muse I decided to put on the wonderful “One World” album by John Martyn , and it is full of beautiful songs , but “Dancin’” just brings to the fore how happy my Muse makes me , and yes I do love dancing with her.

Keep Yourself Alive
This is an excuse to lead with one of my favourite Queen songs “Keep Yourself Alive” which I believe was their first single , not sure it was a hit , but I bought it , loved Brian May’s phased guitar effects plus the “No Synthesisers” notices on the record labels.

Lady Eleanor
I recently watched the BBC Documentary on Alan Hull presented by Sam Fender and they said thst Alan wrote “Lady Eleanor '' after reading Edgar Allen Poe’s “The Fall Of The House Of Usher '' while working in a home for people with mental problems. I should have realised that from the opening lyrics , and probably did , so although it’s late I have to write a poem taking this song as a lead. Hope you enjoy this.

The Sea Girl , The Sandman and The Christmas Kittens
This is where it all started The Sea Girl was out wandering the beach with the Dog. She still had to search for wood for the fire and for things to help stock up so they could eat, but since her parents made peace with and accepted The Sandman life had become so much better.

In My Arms and Into Your Arms
Two favourite songs came to mind when I was with my Muse about where we both belong. Teddy Thompson’s “In My Arms” and The Lemonheads “Into Your Arms” . She belongs in my arms and I belong in hers. I am combimbining these into a single sonnet for my love, well for both of us.
