EwinRacing Champion Series Chair Review
I grew up during the rise of PC gaming in the 90s and stuck with it well into adulthood. So, it’s safe to say I have nearly 30 years of “office chair” experience. I can also confidently say in those two-plus decades, the ratio of comfortable to uncomfortable chairs has been wildly misproportioned. Maybe it’s been my body, as a slightly bulky individual with terrible posture, but every chair I’ve owned, be it luxury plush leather or lower-end gaming, has left me living off heat packs and the dream of something better. Then I was offered the opportunity to explore a brand I’d been eyeing up for a while but hadn’t pulled the trigger on yet.

'Evil Dead the Game' Review: Asymmetrical Multiplayer Done Right
Summoning a Groovy Demon-Slaying Experience Skepticism was high when Saber Interactive announced it was working on an Evil Dead video game. That skepticism grew when more details trickled out, revealing the game to be an asymmetrical horror multiplayer title. Fans of horror gaming know the genre well, and many are still bitter about the overall lackluster performance of Friday the 13th: The Video Game and the sudden (but unavoidable) abandonment of the property by developer Gun Media. However, Saber wasn't looking to make up for Friday's shortcomings. Instead, the team shifted gears from the slow-paced game of cat and mouse to focus on frantic melee combat set in the Evil Dead universe. As it turns out, it's exactly the formula needed to shift focus from Dead by Daylight a bit and introduce a new king into the asymmetrical space.

Basic Tips for Surviving 'Evil Dead the Game'
It’s been a few days since Saber Interactive launched Evil Dead the Game, and some players may still find it hard to find their footing as a survivor. Ash and company can be formidable opponents to the Kandarian threat. Still, it does take some basic survival skills to not get slain within the first few legs of the match.

'Evil Dead the Game' Beta Retrospective and Impressions
And thus ends the second Evil Dead the Game beta. We laughed. We cried. We sawed some limbs off Kandarian Demons. Well, I didn’t. For the purposes of the beta, I decided I would main Ed Getley and see just how much I could improve my Hunter skills in my short time with the online component. Maybe it started as a joke, figuring absolutely no one would willingly choose Ed of all characters, especially when Kelly and Ash help round out the Hunter category. And yet, by the close of the weekend, I found myself being far more productive of a team member than expected, proving that everyone on the Evil Dead the Game cast list serves a purpose.

Little Nightmares + Little Nightmares 2 Review
It’s not every day that a horror game succeeds in being both highly entertaining and deeply disturbing. Jump scares and mindless repetition have overtaken the horror genre as many modern games pit players against lurking supernatural threats. These games manufacture fear through long stretches of emptiness before assaulting the senses with a menagerie of horrifying imagery, flashing lights, and loud noises. Tarsier Studios opted to go an entirely different route with its stylized horror puzzler, instead settling on grotesque figures, dark themes, and overt helplessness to unease players.

A History of Evil Dead: Gaming Gets Groovy
It was a tale of five college students enjoying a holiday deep in the wooded isolation of rural Tennessee. There was some light drinking, a sprinkling of young love, and the recitation of an ancient Sumerian text that led to an unsettling tree rape, spatterings of blood and gore, and a pile of dead bodies. Not only was it not the weekend Ash Williams and his friends expected, but it also seemed far from a usable concept for Commodore Business Machines’ home entertainment unit, the Commodore 65. And yet, in 1984, developer Palace Virgin Gold took Sam Raimi’s goo-infused horror romp and turned it into a pixelated adventure featuring the film’s bumbling protagonist, effectively launching Evil Dead’s video game exploits.

Who's Behind 'Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed'?
Who ya gonna call? It’s been over 30 years since we first heard that iconic phrase in pop culture, and, from year to year, the answer has remained the same. Ghostbusters may have been an 80s film, it’s popularity bleeding into the early 90s thanks to Saturday morning cartoons, but it’s impossible to deny the staying power of the boys in gray. Especially as we’re on the cusp of a reemergence of the franchise, launched by a recent sequel that helped reboot the series and an upcoming video game release that pulls from the ongoing canonical universe.
