Grief
Grief What do you do or say in times of loss? Death can come at any time or any age. We expect people that have had time and lived good long lives to pass on hopefully peacefully and usually people are somewhat prepared for that. When death comes unexpectedly, to a younger healthier person with no known causes, or to someone in a sudden car crash, that jostles us and we are looking for understanding and answers in times that just don’t make any sense. Faith plays a huge part for a lot of people coping with grief and loss. There are people that don’t believe in a higher power and just believe our bodies go back to the dirt and nothing more and celebrate the life that was lived and move on. Whatever your belief structure, the emotions of grief and loss hit us all differently and we each have to navigate through it in our own ways.

Go Write
I always wanted to be a writer. I like to write. I'll write poetry, plays, stories, songs, I don't care. I love creating things. I love coming up with ideas and creating something out of nothing. Having a book to hold in your hand is tangable evidence that what you think can become reality.

The Little things are the Big things
People want to make it big and be the best at everything they do because perfection, success, money, power and prestige are the epitome of a great life right? Fame and fortune, notoriety, acclaim, mean we’re accepted, liked, important and influential. I have dreams and goals, big dreams and goals that seem far reaching and maybe a bit unattainable at present, but they are not impossible. I don’t need to be perfect or the best nor do I think that power and money equal a great life.

The Kind Man
I went to get the emissons tested for my car today. There were long lines, I had a million things to do, it was a standard Monday and this was just one more thing that needed to be checked off my list. I waited in line behind an older man in a red convertable, I was four cars away from it being my turn. I sat listening to some generic music playing on the radio, nothing upbeat or inspiring, just standard background noise on this cool, overcast day.
