Find Your Purpose
Everyone in life has a purpose, though finding that purpose can be hard. Even when we know what the purpose is, the road to achieving that purpose can be long, tough and overwhelming. So sometimes we opt for the easy life, getting a job working for someone else, ensure its enough to pay the bills, puts food on the table and maybe an annual family holiday. We don’t want to worry about the poor, human trafficking or person next door. We just want to live. But as humans we are made to be purposeful and if we’re anything less, it just won’t work right. We all need these influences to be successful
There are 4 relationships that everyone needs as influences to truly succeed in life. The first is that of the nature of a sibling, it doesn’t have to be an actual sibling. Time Management
One of the hardest disciplines to master in life is that of time management. For some it’s easy, for others its just a constant struggle to fit everything into 24 hours. Travel Before Career
I grew up in a "deaf world." My confidence was never that high, so when it came to leaving school, I had already made my mind up that I wanted a career in theatre. It was as I was finishing college that I found out how hard it was going to be to get into theatre school, so instead, I chose to travel abroad. I was not pushing my career choice aside or diminishing my decisions about theatre in any way, I wanted to broaden my horizon and gain independence and I had heard that traveling was a good way to achieve this.

Living With Hearing Aids
I'm 37 and I’ve had hearing aids full time for around 17 years, but have been deaf for much longer. We first noticed I was deaf when I was 8 years of age. There was a theory that the chicken pox I had at the time killed the nerve in the right ear, though this idea was confusing when my earing became better in the right and less in the left.

Volunteering Overseas
So what is VSO? Or Voluntary Services Overseas? Well, it’s exactly what it says on the tin; serving as a volunteer in another overseas from your home country. This kind of volunteering is usually associated with third world countries, but in fact, it can happen anywhere in the world, and I did mine in Japan. And you don’t necessarily need experience or special skills. You can literally volunteer to do anything, work-wise.
