The Suitcase
Somewhere along the path of my life, I developed the concept of “the suitcase”. The suitcase is, basically, the baggage I choose to carry along with me during the course of my life. I’m not sure where the idea came from, but I have had this mental suitcase for most of my conscious life. We all have a mental suitcase, and a million times each day we are given an opportunity to decide what we want to put in there.

The Five Second Rule
Did you just think about dropped food? In my circle, the five second rule is a rule that states that if you drop food on the floor, as long as you get it off the floor in 5 seconds or less, it’s still good to eat. Chances are you already know that. There is also an actual game called the Five Second Rule in which you are asked a question and you have 5 seconds to respond with 3 answers. For instance, name three t.v. cops, or name three songs you know by heart.

The Dark Night Of A Soul
Some time ago, I realized that I often give my best, and sometimes my very worst, to complete strangers in those brief “no expectations beyond this moment” moments, when we have nothing to lose, nothing to prove, or disprove, or defend. No image to project or protect. While thinking about it, I began to wonder if it’s deeper still?
