What these walls want to say
If walls could talk, they would tell you that the people you consider your friends are the same ones that talk behind your back. You know your sister-in-law, right? The one that greets you with a hug and says nice things to you? Well, when you weren't at home, I heard her saying that your boyfriend made a mistake choosing to be with you due to the fact that you are not a great cook; she believes that you don't know what you're doing. I beg to differ. Rosani, while you are not the best cook in the house, you have not killed anyone. I have seen everyone else in the house finishing their plate when you are cooking. You do not need to copy your sister-in-law when it comes to cooking food.

Writing as a career
It took some time for me to realize that my vocation is writing. If I did not realize back then that a career in anthropology would not make me feel complete, I would have never changed my major. When I applied at North Central College I was certain that my major should be creative writing. I told myself that I would not slack off and focus on my writing career. I feel that because I had this whole misconception that I would have to write every single day to be considered a writer, then I was not meant for it, however, this is not true. Writing does not need to be rushed, it is okay to stop and think about what your next article or poem should be about.

Glasses
A few weeks ago, I went to get my eye checked out because of a stye. I also decided to take an eye exam; it turns out I have astigmatism in both eyes and the optometrist told me I must wear glasses. Honestly, I was excited. I feel like glasses are a part of me. It’s amazing to see how in the second grade I was embarrassed to wear them, and how I cried so much in the fourth grade when my mom told me to wear them. I just had this thought that everyone would make jokes.
