Holiday Preparations
On Halloween, the veil that hides this world and the next from each other, thins. Through this opening, spirits and creatures of all sorts can slip through to our world for some . . . fun. Some just want to be surrounded by the warmth and vitality of humans again. Others . . . want to consume it. Whatever the reason or cause, on Halloween you can always expect something interesting to happen.

I Went To House of Horror: Haunted Carnival- It Was Cute!
Way down in Doral, there's an awesome spooky little carnival that runs from from September 29th to October 31st. Located snug at the edge of International Mall, you'll find more than scares there- tons of delicious food, and genuine carnival rides! I went for the first time ever, and now I'm going to review it, and hopefully convince you (if you're in Florida, or coming next week at least) to give it a try:

5 Halloween Ambience Videos For Cozy Haunts
Halloween grows ever closer, and the excitement is ramping up! The prepared ghost host will have started planning parties in July, and the casual haunter will be halfway done decorating. Pumpkin Spice fills the hands of Fall enthusiasts, some folks are donning their winter gear, and the winds of change are blowing gently. This time of year just seems so cozy, doesn't it? Well, I have something to help enhance that cozy feeling in your homes, be they humble cottages or cobwebbed mansions. Final Girls' Final Songs Playlist
Do you remember watching horror movies and just kind of loving how sick the soundtrack was? At the end, when the Final Girl was finally making her escape from whatever hellish nightmare she'd just been embroiled in, and a great song plays at the end? Some kind of metal, or nu-metal, or grunge hit?

Love Is Killer
Classic doo whop melded with the sounds of gentle humming. As The Penguins crooned on from the record player, Elena folded clothes and placed them in their respective luggage. Matching crimson with differing tags- a pumpkin printed luggage tag for her husband, and a Chocokitty one for her- both were open on top of the bed and nearly half filled. With a huff, Elena hesitated as she held up one of the new dresses she'd just bought and eyed the palm leaf print critically. Was it a little too casual? But maybe the other dress was a little too much for the small town they'd be going to . . . it would be a little embarrassing to stick out like a gawdy, sore thumb on their vacation . . .

Seize The Day
Dali Heart was stuck in a time loop. It wasn't as sanity crushing as others might think. She honestly hadn’t even realized she’d been in one until three weeks, when she suddenly realized how strange everything was. Dali had been in a rut for most of her adult life- wake up, go to work, rewatch Briscoe County, sleep. But eventually, Dali realized that something was very wrong. It dawned on her after she had tried to steer a conversation with her mother to another topic, and her mother started stuttering, until she eventually forcefully returned the conversation back to their original topic. A topic they'd discussed the day before, and the day before that. Then she realized that the date never changed . . . and she was reliving the same day.

When Aliens Attack!
Zuu scrambled around a dark metal corner, fleeing towards the evac pods. Ze ran desperately, the destroyed and pilfered surroundings blurred partially by the tears- but not nearly enough to mistake the slumped bodies, mangled limbs missing owners . . . and all the ichor everywhere. All around, sirens were wailing and lights pulsed rhythmically- red, black, red, black, silver-
