THE CONCUBINE
After reading "The Concubine" by Elechi Amadi in Secondary school many years ago, my cousin is still scared of women and has refused to marry to date. He said he saw Ihuoma in all the women he dated. Insisting that he doesn't want to die yet, that he is taking his time to find the right woman who has no spirirtual husband. I told him that time waits for nobody and he is almost 40 years but told me that it's better to marry late than to die early.

OPERA MINI
I have a confession to make. If you laugh at me thunder fire you! I had a high school boyfriend called David. David was a student at St. Paul's Seminary Nyeri. Truth is, I was confusing a young man who wanted to marry the church when he grew up. Anyway, I loved David and I was not going to allow the seminary to interfere with my marriage. While at school, David would send me the most romantic letters that would send my heart to Samasult. The letters would be sealed in a white envelope baptized in El Sudan Perfume. Children of today will open their mouths to ask me what El Sudan is. Somebody please tell them because the last time I talked to one Gen Z like this, I had to sleep for three days and three nights, just to calm down.

BRIDGERTON
Ladies, get your wine and liners ready. Bridgerton season 3 is out on Thursday. So, on Netflix, there is a series called Bridgerton. In that series, a lot of English is spoken, litres of tea are sipped, dances are danced and elegant furniture and decor are displayed. In that series also, there are many characters, black and white, young and old. Among those characters ladies and gentlemen, there is a man, a handsome chocolate fountain with pink lips, a chest enough for me and my afro hair to find rest, and since I have looked close enough, he has donkey meat below the waist. Oh yes!

MOMENT OF SILENCE
It's very nostalgic to remember the person you used to be around who's no longer in your life. Have you ever realized that you'll never be that person again? It's not just that the person has gone but they also took what you used to be. A part of you is gone, an image, a completely different person. And I'm not saying that you'll be worse now, it's not about good or bad, it's about someone that you were, your particular existence.
