Video Games of the 80s
The eighties were totally awesome. Everything about them was great. The clothes, the hairstyles, the music-it was all good and uncomplicated. Truth is, any time period before everyone had their heads in their phones was a good time. There was no texting-there was talking. People had to look you in the eye; What a concept! If there was a boy you liked, you would call him and then hang up when he would answer the phone and no one would know it was you. The television shows taught you life lessons and the movies had incredible soundtracks. You would listen to your tapes on a walkman and if you were really cool, the walkman had a buckle attachment-the first hands-free technology; And then there were the video games...kids today would look at those games and scoff at them, but they were so radical, dude. What was cooler than being able to type your initials into the game when you got the high score? It was so awesome! Let's take a look down memory lane at some of the great video games of the 80s...

Most Inspirational Ellen DeGeneres Accomplishments
Ellen DeGeneres is one of a kind. In a time where being yourself was sometimes frowned upon, DeGeneres broke the mold and used her comedy to come out of the closet. This wasn’t the popular thing to due years ago. People stayed in the closet and kept the doors tightly shut. But not our Ellen. This comedian paid her dues like the rest of them. She would perform in any and every comedy club and honed her craft. Appearances on Stand Up Spotlight started getting her even more recognition. But, she had a secret. One that she had only shared with her family and close friends. That secret was a big part of who she was because it was who she was. Upon reaching what she thought was the pinnacle of success, a television show about her, aptly titled Ellen, she used this platform to reveal her true self. And then things took a turn. Her announcement overshadowed her talent and it was as if she was shunned from the entertainment industry. Fortunately, that didn’t last very long and she emerged victorious. Haters may hate, but love conquers all.

History of Sunscreen
The sun rises and sets every day, which serves as an important constant in our lives. Some of us like to hide from the strong rays in the sky. The fair-skinned among us have been burned too many times. And then there are those of us who worship the sun. We can’t get enough of our time baking outside during the summer. The darker the tan, the better we think we look. A tan is the sign of a productive vacation, unemployment, or both. When we are innocent youths, we think the sun is our friend. We frolic in it, we breathe it in, and relish in its warmth without consequence. It isn’t until the supple, smooth skin of once upon a time becomes the haggard, dry, and wrinkled mess of times gone by. Protection from the sun's harmful rays is important in preventing cancer and preserving a youthful appearance. Skin cancer is one of the few preventable forms of the disease, so the American Cancer Society urges the public to use sunscreen. Throughout the history of sunscreen, cosmetic companies have learned to integrate sun protection within your daily moisturizers and makeup, allowing for convenient and lightweight protection.
