You always think you will have more time. It is a constant issue human's have. Procrastination. We know we shouldn't procrastinate family but sometimes we cannot help it. Life gets in the way. You get married, have kids and before long you are consumed and the days blur into each other. This is an open letter to my now deceased grandma for the guilt I carry.

Temptation of the Ice
Tentatively Sherry took a step, it was always the way every winter. Fresh snow covered the trees and a fresh, hard layer of ice covered Marquine Pond in to a frozen wonderland. She had been cautious every year since she had slipped and fell through the ice one year and caught pneumonia. She missed the whole season of ice-skating and she vowed never to make that mistake again. Feeling that the ice was stable underneath her skate, she edged her other foot so was fully on the pond. She let out a breath.

Saving Senna
The wind swirled and the darkening clouds slowly rolled in over the bay, but Senna couldn’t see behind the tears welling in her eyes as she blindly ran towards the open water. Hitting the waves like a raging bull in a china shop, she lost her balance and fell into the foamy but shallow water, and prayed the waves would take her far away. Letting herself float for a few minutes while she closed her eyes, her brain replayed the incident automatically.
