SUPERwholock
SuperWhoLock…a horrifying Tumblr memory originated in 2011. We were possibly the most annoying online community in history and this series was born and bred out of gen Z’ers trying to claim it's creation. The oldest of the Gen Z’ers was 14 when the fandom originated so no you created nothing, this online horror belongs to Millenials. Also if you had really created it you wouldn’t want to claim it, it was a terrible time of hijacking posts that had nothing to do with us and the wildest of fan fictions. Its existence was a flash in a pan and it came crashing down as quickly as it rose to dominance. With the long hiatuses between seasons of Sherlock and Doctor Who and the decline in quality of Sherlock and Supernatural, paired with the fact that the main fanbase simply grew up the SuperWhoLock fandom ran out of steam. Though jokes of a resurgence emerged with the rumors of Sherlock season 5 and David Tennent returning as the Doctor for another anniversary special. It is a fandom that never needs to see the light of day again, and for most of us it is simply an embarrassing memory. But we are going to explore why these shows had such a chokehold on the internet, why they seemed to pair together so well and why we all simply stopped caring. So we are starting with Supernatural…the basis of Superwholock, the emotional demon fighting show that ran for way too long. I love the show, I find deep emotional connection to it and it quite literally saved my life. I've been to a convention and met the cast members, I’ve spent money on merch and I had a dean's necklace that I wore until it fell apart but the show went on for far too long. I stand by seasons 1-4 without hesitation, 5-7 were still good and I really won’t take criticisms on those either, 8-10 were questionable but at that point the fandom fell victim to the sunken cost fallacy and it was too late to stop watching 11-15 simply showed our dedication to the boys as there was next to nothing redeemable in those plot lines.

Recapping the MCU
Phase two had a lot more important information than Phase one did so hopefully those broad strokes were enough. I know this is a longer video but the MCU really exploded in phase 3. We added a lot of new characters and furthered a lot of team storylines so let's dive right in.

Recapping the MCU
One of the biggest obstacles the MCU faces right now is gaining and retaining audience members. The universe is so vast and interconnected that unless you’ve seen every single project it feels like you're missing something. And the unfortunate reality is that you probably are. But if you don’t care about the details, inside jokes, comic book references and every thread of interrelation then you really just need the broad strokes so here we go. Whether you are a tired, burnt out fan or a new audience member I’m hoping these short guides will help you catch up on all of the important information so you can enjoy the current state of the MCU.

Kinds of Storytelling
So we are starting a new series based on identifying whether projects are character driven or plot driven and what that means. So let's start with character driven stories. Now I have not been shy about my opinion on which kind of storytelling is better, it's character driven stories. They feel more natural and organic and the story never has to be forced.

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend
So this is one of my favorite shows. And the funniest thing about that is another one of my favorite shows is BoJack Horseman, and really these shows are very similar. They both are character driven stories and they maintain that through their entire run, as well as both centering around mental health. Which is really why they both hit rather close to home but that's why they’re good shows.

The Last of Us
So we took a longish hiatus from The Last of Us because I really need to be in the mood for this show. That said they’ve chilled out on the gross stuff and really laid into the emotion crap. And as such keeps having episodes that leave me yelling at my tv. This show refuses to stop beating my heart into a sludgy substance. It is so heartbreaking, the Walking Dead could never. I of course got attached to Henry and Sam rather quickly, more than that I got attached to Ellie and Sam. Their friendship was established fast and really it was just nice to see Ellie interact with someone closer to her own age.

Oscar Awards
So a month or so ago I gave a rundown of Oscar nominations and predictions as well as my personal hopes. So here we go, it's Oscar night and these are the winners and my thoughts. These will really only be the categories I personally care about and not all 24 categories but it will be most of them.

All Female Teams
With so very many all male superhero teams I of course want to talk about the all female teams that exist. Now these are significantly less but they are worth talking about, and of course this is going to be another book plug and preview for Lady Comic Book History.

Underrated Superheroes
Scarlet Witch Okay obviously you knew she was going to be on the list, people have been sleeping on my girl since her first appearance in 1964, she has grown into one of the most powerful heroes in the Marvel universe, an indisputable fact that people often refuse to acknowledge. House of M remains one of the greatest feats of power the comic book universe has ever seen and I personally can’t wait to see how they continue to grow her character and her powers in the MCU.

Ranking Studio Ghibli Movies
As someone who grew up on Disney I had heard of Studio Ghibli throughout my adult life but I had never seen any of the films until I met my husband. He is a huge Miyazaki fan and as such I have seen most of the Miyazaki - Studio Ghibli movies. So as someone who is new to the genre of anime I wanted to rank the Studio Ghibli movies I have seen from my most to least favorite. I also want to preface this by saying I didn't think any of these movies are bad, they are all beautiful and wonderful stories. I just clearly liked some more than others.
