How Scotland Awakens Your Soul
On Scotland Scotland has been a source of inspiration thanks to its beautiful landscapes, vast history, and rich culture. From the enchanting Isle of Skye, to its mesmerizing capital of Edinburgh, and the vastness of its wilderness, the land of Scots has captured the imagination of commoners and kings, minstrels and travelers, young and old. First date with the real meTop Story - April 2021
A quick look at the antique clock on my bedside table shows me I'm late. Late late. I take another sip of my second glass of Merlot and assess my reflection in the mirror. A little black dress that hugs my curves perfectly (translation, getting air in will be problematic, especially after last night's enormous piece of chocolate cake), ankle boots too high for my chronic clumsiness (but absolutely gorgeous), red lips, big hazel eyes accentuated with black eye-liner. Despite the dress being too tight for comfort, it's the only thing that felt remotely sexy at the moment. And you always need a bit of sexy for a blind date, as dating is no picnic.

How a pet finds you when it's just right
I've always been a cat lover. Cats are awesome, majestic creatures, albeit a tad fickle and temperamental. You have to earn a cat's love, it's not just handed to you "free of charge". And once given, never take it for granted, for it's a precious thing. Adopting a cat changes your life; you just need to have the right perspective, keep an open mind, and more importantly, an open heart, and an abundance of lessons will be coming your way.

How adopting a cat taught me that love is endless and unconditional
I've wanted a cat for as long as I can remember, but my parents weren't easily convinced. It didn't help matters that my paternal grandmother - who was living with us at the time being - could not fathom an animal in the apartment. Humans and animals coexisting indoors?! What is this sorcery? Actually, I think her precise words were: "It's either the cat or me." Kind of a bummer.

If DC, then Zack Snyder's Justice League
Okay, so I'm a geek. And proudly so. As a millennial greatly influenced by my father's love for Star Wars, my childhood comprised of endless reruns of the original trilogy, the occasional prequels (but not Revenge of the Sith; never that), followed by the discovery of Stargate SG-1 and delving into its glorious 10-season run, before branching into spin-offs. Much later, I expanded my vistas with Marvel, DC and more recently, Star Trek (Captain Sisko is keeping me thoroughly entertained, now that Deep Space 9 passed its shaky start and is well into the sixth season).
