To the ones January has not been kind to

Hey there stranger, I hope you realize how amazing you are and how beautiful the world is because of you in it. This one is for you if January has not been kind to you. I know right now all you feel is how the darkness that surrounds knows no end, and the light that you are so desperately and intently searching for seems to lose its way in the dreariness of despair. I know all you long right now is a moment of peace and this month has constantly put you on the edge of your sanity. January has not been your month, all it has done is test your strength and remind you that you need to keep it all together. Life in its entirety has plonked you into the land of uncertainty, and all you yearn for is to be lost in a land where you cannot be found, only to be rescued with the warmth of love and a warm cup of coffee.

I see you fighting all those silent battles with a smile, wiping the tears that belie the pain that hides underneath. I see you waking every day with the courage to take on the day, while all you want to give in to the testament of your might that life tests every day. I want you to remember that life would not always feel this heavy, you still have not seen the most beautiful days of your existence yet, where your coffee tastes the solace of never-ending peace, where the people you pass by on the street light up your day with their sweet smiles, where you hold the hand of a person who loves you as you wish to be loved. You still haven't experienced days where life feels light and your soul feels at peace. I want to remind you that there is a whole world out there waiting for you, to witness them with your kindness, warmth and the magic you brew in the embrace of the things that you love.

Let yourself feel your emotions in their complete state of being- It is important to give yourself complete freedom to let yourself express your grief. When you allow yourself to feel your emotions in their raw presence and not shame yourself for feeling that way, you create a safe space for yourself which helps you understand what is body and mind demanding at that moment.

I hope you remember the times when your courage dwindled but you held your head high and when you thought you could not get through it, but almost magically and with your might, you did. I hope you remember the world needs your light and it is better because you are in it. So if January has not been kind to you, I want to remind you that this is not the end but rather just a bend that leads you to a chapter of your life that aglows in the radiance of never-ending mirth, joy and smiles. YOU will feel like you again.

Right now I am proud of you, proud of you for fighting through, proud of you for holding on. I am proud of you for every second of your existence. I hope you still believe in the beauty of what is about to come. So if January was not kind to you, I want to remind you that life has so much more to offer, and this is just a roadbump that will lead you to the light you wish to see.

Breathe, Relax and Reset.

For all the awesomeness and joy that is about to come.

Love,

Your firm believer Hridya;)
