Musings, Jokes, and Dreams to Wake Me Up 3
I have a certain routine that I like to keep, but that hinges on me waking up within a certain timeframe. I like to be up and getting ready between 7:30 A.M. and 8:30 A.M. Sometimes, I don’t wake up within that timeframe and it winds up being afterwards, but it isn’t as if I can’t still do many of the things that I want to do throughout the day. But everything gets pushed back, or I often wind up with less time for certain things, etc. I don’t NEED to be up this early and I CAN wake up an hour later, but when I do it too often, my other projects get less time.

Talking Hearts
Author's Note: I am getting bored with these, so maybe I can spice them up for myself. I have always finished a card prompt box, so this would be the first if we don't finish it. Or maybe we can just take a break. They do seem to torture my husband, so maybe it is worth it. I haven't learned anything new yet though, and I don't think he has either. Maybe today.

That First Job
Who remembers going out trying to get their first job? Actually, if I remember my first ever job and I do not think it really counts, but it was when I was 11 going on 12 when I would help my dad care for several yards for I my job was to trim the sidewalks and weed the gardens and, in the Fall, raking the leaves and there were a lot of leaves for the owners of the yards. Anyway, I took over cutting those yards the next year and continued doing those for the, I believe, almost 20 years or so. Like I said really do not think that really qualifies as a first job.

It's all in the mind?
Just wondering why, it seems that Labor Day seems to come quicker and quicker every year it seems. It is a day to honor the workingman but why are there still others that work on Labor Day like nurses, the military, and others too. The picnics from the staples from hamburgers and hot dogs to maybe some that do brisket or sausage somehow along with potato or macaroni salad and usually the same desserts from various pies, cakes and brownies. It always seems to be the same from year to year that it makes like a normal day working hard.

Who Is Grateful?
Steal From Yourself Challenge: The Prompt - Return to something you wrote years ago and use one idea, image, character, or line from it to create something entirely new. It's time to dig through your old writing and steal something. Find a story you abandoned, a poem you haven't read in years, a half-finished draft, or something your younger self was very proud of. Somewhere in there is a line, character, image, idea, or tiny detail worth taking. For this challenge, take that one thing and give it another life. Drop an old character into a completely different story. Turn a forgotten line into a poem. Take the best idea from your worst draft and finally do something with it. Don't rewrite the old piece. Rob it. Then use what you stole to make something entirely new.

500th Story: A Message to Vocal Writers
I finally did it! I've officially reached the 500-story milestone! Since joining this amazing platform called Vocal back in 2018, my goal was to write about topics that not only were relatable and important to me, but also relatable to others. I went from a subscriber count in the single digits to 62 subscribers. My goal is to reach 100 subscribers in the next year. If this feat were to surpass that total, we would celebrate this achievement together. I say we, because you have been part of my success and stood by me. My love for writing dates back to the fifth grade, where I started writing poems about anything. I took an extended break from writing until I found Vocal and decided to give it a try. After the first month of being on this platform, I knew that I found a site where I could express myself. Now that I've reached this important milestone, my goal is to write 1,000 stories within the next couple of years. I'm halfway there, but I have to keep pushing. I've had several stories that were chosen as Top Stories and also received one-off tips. They help so much and means that you're supporting creators like me, so we can keep writing and publish new stories. I have yet to win a challenge on Vocal, but that only motivates me to keep writing more stories and maybe one day, I'll achieve that goal. If I were to win my very first challenge, we're going to celebrate that moment together.

The Anatomy of Influence
• At some point in life, we should press the pause button, take a step back to assess our so called "Circle of Friends". If no one in that circle motivates you to do better or be better today than you were yesterday, if no one in that circle challenges your day to day ideology in whether they align your morals to where if tested, no matter who or what the circumstances may be you stand firm on the truth even if it means losing some of those whom you love in the name of transparency and truth, if no one in that circle challenges you simply just to be great things and be great, it's not a Circle, it's a square.
