I finally did it! I've officially reached the 500-story milestone! Since joining this amazing platform called Vocal back in 2018, my goal was to write about topics that not only were relatable and important to me, but also relatable to others. I went from a subscriber count in the single digits to 62 subscribers. My goal is to reach 100 subscribers in the next year. If this feat were to surpass that total, we would celebrate this achievement together. I say we, because you have been part of my success and stood by me. My love for writing dates back to the fifth grade, where I started writing poems about anything. I took an extended break from writing until I found Vocal and decided to give it a try. After the first month of being on this platform, I knew that I found a site where I could express myself. Now that I've reached this important milestone, my goal is to write 1,000 stories within the next couple of years. I'm halfway there, but I have to keep pushing. I've had several stories that were chosen as Top Stories and also received one-off tips. They help so much and means that you're supporting creators like me, so we can keep writing and publish new stories. I have yet to win a challenge on Vocal, but that only motivates me to keep writing more stories and maybe one day, I'll achieve that goal. If I were to win my very first challenge, we're going to celebrate that moment together.

My fellow Vocal writers: I've been viewing some of your stories and have left comments underneath them. Plus, giving my insights on them. Your creativity is the most powerful tool you can use. No one can take that away from you. You are meant to share your talent and creativity to the world. They say knowledge is power, so share it with everyone. Sure, Vocal isn't like TikTok, but writing stories on here is like therapy. It's like self-care for your brain. If you're still seeking your first challenge win or one of your stories being selected as a Top Story, don't give up. For the latter, keep writing stories and if one of them ends up being chosen by the Vocal Team, expect to receive a nice one-off tip. It's a great honor to receive and others congratulate you on it.

One last thing I want to share with you is to never compare yourself to others. Sure, there are writers on Vocal who have more subscribers and stories written than you. However, as the saying goes: Comparison is the thief of joy. Your subscriber count and the number of stories you've written and published doesn't devalue your worth. Also, I wouldn't think any less of you. We all hold the key to our own goals and futures. Writing is in our DNA, and we aim to use our gift to inspire others to become the better versions of ourselves. You are your own person and comparing yourself to others will only hold you back from the things you want to pursue in life. If you're feeling down or discouraged, remember that you have the rest of us writers for support. We're going to make sure we end 2026 on a positive and encouraging note. We can do this!

If this story encouraged you to become the best version of yourself, give it a like. Also, subscribe to my page on here and feel free to follow me on my socials. Finally, to support me even further, please leave a one-off tip at the end of this story. Large or small, they will encourage me to continue writing and publishing new stories.
