Writing Quicksand
Some of you may know that I write on several platforms. I have been writing for a year and a half, and in that time I have learned quite a bit. Some of what I have learned is good; some not so much. What I have found mirrors what is happening in life in general. No one is doing anyone any favors; companies are making money off othersโ talents, and they seem to be the only winners. This is my honest critique and assessment of just three of the platforms I use.

When Nobody Is Reading, Why Do You or I Keep Writing?
There is a moment after I publish something I have spent hours writing when I start wondering who will find it. I look at the screen and watch the numbers, telling myself I am checking on the article when I know I am really looking for reassurance. I want to see evidence that the time I spent writing resonated with someone besides me.

Paul's Explicate My Poem Unofficial Challenge
So, it's been a few months since John and I ran an unofficial challenge. This time out I am doing one myself and don't worry, it's for some dumb soap opera reasons. John and I haven't fallen out because his best friend is my best friend's mother's girlfriend.
