The Ghosts of Halloweens Past
Let’s read each other’s old Halloween stories, poems, etc.
I don’t know about you, but I can’t get enough Halloween. It’s my favorite holiday and fall is my favorite season. I especially love stories that take place on Halloween. Therefore, I’d like to propose we read each other’s Halloween stories from the past, the ones we may have missed.
Just like Jack-o-lanterns get creepier as they rot, Halloween stories just get spookier as they age.
I thought perhaps immersing ourselves in classic Halloween vibes could help us with our current WIP Halloween stories and poems.
Post links to your Halloweeniest stories here in the comments for me to read. They can be fiction, poetry, true stories, horror stories, family stories, recipes or craft ideas. Anything, as long as it is about Halloween. Then you can read one of my stories or one of the ones posted by the other commenters.
This is not a new idea. Others have proposed the pay it forward mutual reading scenario. I just decided to Halloweenify it 🎃
So bring me your lonely ghosts, your scary goblins, your hungry vampires yearning to be read about. Let’s reanimate these old stories and let them roam around in the dungeons of our minds.
Here are a few of mine to get the party started:
I look forward to reading your spooky Halloween tales.
