It comes, no escaping it. Sometimes clouds obscure it, and lord, don’t get caught in the Arctic circle in June. The damn thing never goes away. Yeah, it’s cold, but northern Alaska is no place for a vampire to spend the summer solstice. It’s fantastic in December and January, but I prefer Sydney in June and July, away from those insufferable rednecks in the States and on the continent when they celebrate their notion of independence. Freedom.
