CFL Week 6 Recap: One Stayed Unbeaten, One Stayed Winless
The sixth week of the 2022 CFL season began in Montréal with the Alouettes hosting the Edmonton Elks in what should have been an easy opportunity for the East to defeat the West. After all, the Elks were the only lowly team in the stacked West Division, and they were on the road. Even better for the Als, they had a 31-12 lead during the heart of the 3rd quarter, but the Elks would fight back with 20 unanswered points. The Elks won 32-31, and as for the Alouettes, they blew a big opportunity to put pressure on the Toronto Argonauts.

Each year, Ray's Eagles would play with passion and grit, determined to make the playoffs. Ray Mirra understood it all well, and when he went on to become a sportswriter, he made sure to give every football player his due credit for the pain endured during every NFL season—even if that meant changing the color of their jersey from black to green. The Eagles, who are also a Philadelphia football fan favorite, were Ray's most admired team. Ray emphasized each player's best traits, winning streaks, position on the squad, and football career in all of his articles on sports and in his job as a producer at NFL Films.

Week 5 of the 2022 CFL season only consisted of three games due to 3/4 of the East Division being idle. So all three games emanated from the Western half of Canada, beginning with this season's second Battle of Alberta meeting...which was over at opening kickoff. The Calgary Stampeders defeated the Edmonton Elks by a score of 49-6. Yes, you read that right: 49-6. Blowout games like this are immensely uneventful, but if there was any highlight, it was Peyton Logan returning a missed field goal 122 yards all the way! That's the beauty of the CFL, you see numbers like 122 when it comes to returns. Other than that, it was basically the Elks being picked apart by their provincial rivals.

Week 4 of the 2022 CFL season saw the campaign enter the month of July, which is still quite early in the season. All four games in the Week 4 schedule were West vs East, and as the results showed, the disparity between the two divisions is very strong. The week started in the Canadian Capital, with the Ottawa Redblacks hosting the BC Lions, and it was surprisingly close. There were moments where the Redblacks seemed to be on the verge of pulling off the upset, but despite this, BC hung on, winning 34-31.

So the third week of the 2022 CFL season was an interesting week for this sports fan. Of course, the week clashed with Game Five of this year's Stanley Cup Final, but I was able to catch a good bit of the action from Week 3. The week kicked off in Montréal, Quebec, as their Alouettes hosted the Saskatchewan Roughriders, who were looking to improve to 3-0. That would not be the case for the Riders, as they were blasted, 37-13, by the Als, marking the Riders' first dent in their plans to play the Grey Cup in their home city of Regina.

American football is man's best friend it has given us an outlet to express this testosterone fueled side of our humanity. When we sit back and reflect on all the harmful deadly ways, we have chosen to express our man hood. Only then do we realize that this needed diversion not only saves lives it builds character. No pain no gain. American football takes us away from orderliness and comfort zones. It lands us in the middle of chaos and unpredictable outcomes.

It was a fall Thursday night in a small town in Southeastern Arkansas, it was my first time to play in a football game and my whole family was there to see me. I was on the 7th grade team, just below the 8th grade and JV (Junior Varsity) team. I wore number 22.
Kelvin DavisPublished 2 years ago in UnbalancedCan history repeat itself in fantasy football?
Can history repeat itself? The answer is essentially yes, and no. History doesn't necessarily repeat itself. I know that may sound like a riddle, but it's true. If something happened in the past it doesn't mean it will happen in the same way again. We can look at the past to predict future performance and gain information to help us win our leagues.
Hector AllemandPublished 2 years ago in UnbalancedWhy Liverpool came close to winning a quadruple
Liverpool had a phenomenal season. Until the very last week, they were competing for a quadruple. Manchester City edged them in the Premier League for just a point and Real Madrid later beat them in the Champions League final. Despite that, they lifted two trophies. FA Cup and Carabao Cup. In both of them, they were better than Chelsea after penalties. We’ll look at the key reason, why they have almost made it the most successful season in the club’s history.
