2022 National Football Conference Preview
As I continue to look forward to the 2022 NFL season, I came to a realization when I mapped out the current state of the NFC: the depth is decreasing. The National Football Conference doesn't appear to be as deep as it used to be, with only three teams appearing to look like strong Super Bowl threats, while the other 13 are just, well...there. Even so, as an NFC guy, I am quite fascinated about the possibilities for this conference, and the divisions involved.

The 2022 NFL season is upon us, and it should be a very interesting one. Part of the reason why this season should be good: the AFC is stacked! The American Football Conference had been tepid for so, so long, but signs of life started to show back in the 2020 season. It increased in the final weeks of the 2021 season, as so many teams were jockeying for position, and it looks like the AFC is definitely back to having the depth it had back in the 1990s. There are so many storylines in the AFC entering this season, and they are as follows:

The 2o22 Canadian Football League season has reached its midpoint: Week 11. Ten weeks preceded this, and ten weeks will follow. It's not quite late enough to talk playoffs, but it's not really early either. Week 11 featured an interesting schedule. For one, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers were idle. Secondly, the four games took place in two days; doubleheaders on Friday and Saturday.

Considering the last time that happened their captain was five years old, a little bad weather in between made the victory worth the wait. But Stephanie Banks definitely welcomes the tennis postseason with a sigh of relief—despite the exciting defeat of their arch rivals.
Rich MonettiPublished 2 years ago in UnbalancedRanking NFL Starting Quarterbacks Entering 2022
With the Preseason only days away, we begin the month-long countdown until we see some of our favorite stars take the field. In this current era of football, there is no position considered more valuable than the quarterback. Some teams will be entering that season with their franchise guy, others are just waiting for April to come back around so they can elevate their play at the position with young guys like C.J Stroud or Bryce Young. With that in mind, let’s look at my rankings of all 32 projected starting quarterbacks for the 2022-2023 NFL season.

November 20, 2021. That was the last time that the Winnipeg Blue Bombers lost a game; 13-12 against the Calgary Stampeders. September 27, 2019. That was the last time the Blue Bombers lost a home game, a 33-13 loss to the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. On Thursday, August 11, 2022, the defending back-to-back Grey Cup Champions saw their 11-game winning streak (dating back to last year's playoffs) come to an end in immensely shocking and strange fashion, and it came on their home turf against the Montréal Alouettes.

Mike JoyPublished 2 years ago in UnbalancedCFL Week 9 Recap: Full Control
The 2022 Canadian Football League season has entered the month of August, which is an important month, as it brings the season closer to the Labour Day matchups. It's also a pacesetting month, and regarding Week 9, the action kicked off in Montréal, with the Alouettes hosting the undefeated defending back-to-back champion Winnipeg Blue Bombers. The game was strangely close, and even entering the fourth quarter, it was tied: 14-14. It did look like we were in for an upset, but it would not come to pass, as the Bombers outscored the Als 21-6 in the fourth quarter, resulting in a 35-20 victory.

England have won the final of Euro 2022 after beating Germany 2-1 in extra time at Wembley. The victory gives England their first major sporting trophy since the men's team won the World Cup in 1966. Chloe Kelly scored the decisive winner deep in to extra time in what was an extremely nervy match in which both teams had opportunities to score and possibly win the game.

It seems like yesterday that the Ottawa Redblacks debuted in the CFL, but their first season took place in 2014. Year Two saw them in the Grey Cup, losing to the then-named Edmonton Eskimos, but Year Three would be better for the Redblacks, as they won their first Grey Cup with an overtime victory over the Calgary Stampeders. The Redblacks returned to the Grey Cup in 2018 and came up short, but they would go nowhere else but down since then. Ottawa won a grand total of six games in the two seasons they've played since losing the Grey Cup to the Stampeders, and at the one-third mark of their season, they found themselves winless.
Clyde E. DawkinsPublished 2 years ago in UnbalancedMy very first NFL game
Growing up in Northern Nevada, two teams heavily dominated the area, the San Francisco 49ers and, at that time anyway, the Oakland Raiders! Around age four, I became addicted to watching football and very quickly became a die-hard fan of the silver and black. They were always on television where I lived, and when I was growing up, they were regularly in the playoffs and fighting for the top of the division. The main thing that drew me in was their motto, "Commitment to Excellence"! When you analyze the history of the Raiders, it became apparent very quickly that it wasn't just a catchy motto; it was a way of life. Even after a decade and a half of irrelevance and poor play, they still have forty-four more wins than losses with a record of four hundred ninety-one wins and four hundred forty-seven losses since their inception before the nineteen-sixty American Football League season.

Football is a family of team sports that involve, to varying degrees, kicking a ball to score a goal. Sports commonly called football include association football (known as soccer in North America and Oceania); gridiron football (specifically American football or Canadian football); Australian rules football; rugby union and rugby league; and Gaelic football. These various forms of football share to varying extent common origins and are known as football codes.
