CFL Week 2 Recap: The CFL Least
Week 1 was Opening Week for eight of the Canadian Football League's teams, but regarding Week 2, it was the Toronto Argonauts who would kick off their 2022 campaign. For the Argos, they are looking to end their brief Grey Cup drought; having not won since 2017. They are coming off a stellar abbreviated 2021 season that saw them finish first in the East Division, but lose the Eastern Final at home to the rival Hamilton Tiger-Cats. It's a full season this time, and their road to redemption began with a Thursday meeting against another division rival, the Montréal Alouettes.

It's that time again! The Canadian Football League is back in season, and for the first time in three years, it's a full season! The 2020 season ended up being entirely canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic being at its earliest and worst stage, and the 2021 season was a condensed year--with 14 games played in 16 weeks. In any event, the last two seasons ended in the same way: the Winnipeg Blue Bombers hoisting the Grey Cup, with both victories coming against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. The Bombers look to win their third straight Grey Cup, and become the first team to win three in a row since the then-named Edmonton Eskimos won five straight (66th-70th) from 1979-1983.

I will be discussing the love of football and the pain that comes with it. In fact, the National Football league was founded in 1920 and it's been going strong ever since. Nonetheless, I hope that you all will be able to take something away from today's podcast. With that being said, let'ts jump right to it. Football is one of the worlds most popular sports according to a recent Harris Poll but it is also a sport that could have an everlasting effect on you for the rest of your life. Let's get into early childhood and football.
Shanelle RashaunPublished 2 years ago in UnbalancedWho do you play in the last matchday as a football manager?
A lot of European football leagues finished lately. The attention is mostly centralized around teams, trying to get their hands on silverware, teams trying to qualify for European competitions, and teams, which are fighting for their survival. But how about those that are not playing for »anything«? Well, they have many different options for who to put in play.

One year has passed since the Eagles moved on from Carson Wentz. What a difference a year makes for not only the Philadelphia Eagles but for the Indianapolis Colts as well. One year ago, both teams were starting over at quarterback, and on February 18th of 2021, the Carson Wentz drama fest would end for the Birds as they shipped their franchise quarterback to the Colts for a third-round draft choice in 2021 and a conditional second-round pick that eventually became a first-rounder.

It’s always fun to debate what team is the best in Premier League history? Whether that’s in the pub with friends, on Twitter (less fun) or a subreddit online, we will have our own opinion on which side was the best, so whoever you choose; United’s treble winners of 1999, the invincible of side 2004, Mourinho’s Chelsea, United’s 2008 team or one of Peps City sides or Klopp’s Liverpool team, it is ultimately a subjective decision, underlying biases, personal preference and statistical data and you can make case for any one of those sides, whoever your choice is, some people will agree others will disagree. Alas, such is life.
sajid aliPublished 2 years ago in UnbalancedPlaying underage footballers is just about marketing and nothing else
I have to be honest. I was thinking about it during the Euro 2020. But after everything settled, it somehow slipped my mind when I started writing more often.
Matic CretnikPublished 2 years ago in UnbalancedThere is nothing wrong with sacking Pep Guardiola
Some things are not meant to be right? No matter how hard you try, an end goal just slips away. Every time. So it feels with Manchester City and their efforts of trying to win the UEFA Champions League. Especially under Pep Guardiola. Therefore, his sacking may hardly be argued.

Marty LanctonPublished 2 years ago in UnbalancedRaymond Mirra Services To NFL Films
Raymond Mirra was brought up in a family that would greatly influence his life. At the age of nine, he had already begun working at a company called Bunnings Grocery and Meats. He had to work on Saturdays serving customers, packaging and even meat cutting for 18 years. However, that training and experience would come handy later on in his career, as he got a job at NFL Films. After participating in high school sports including football, track and boxing – one really cannot understand how much physical contact Ray Mirra had been through before getting into an industry like NFL Films. Well, now we do know how much courage it takes to play football until your professional career ends.

If you’re around my age and from Atlanta, there are few people as synonymous with your childhood as one Matthew Thomas Ryan. From the moment he was drafted in 2008 to his last snap played in Atlanta this past season, Matt Ryan (or Matty Ice, more on that later) injected fuel into a franchise looking to reshape its image after on-field mediocrity and off-field issues by its star players. He has enjoyed one of the most statistically significant careers in football history — living in the top 10 of almost every all-time Quarterback stat category — while also bringing the team to more success and more consistency than it had seen in its existence.
Vivek GarimellaPublished 2 years ago in UnbalancedIs Matt Ryan poised for another MVP year?
Matt Ryan. Undoubtedly my favorite athlete and, as an unashamedly biased Falcons fan, the source of countless moments of joy – in addition to more moments to which I’d prefer we do not talk about. He was drafted by my Atlanta Falcons whilst I was the age of 11. My voice was squeaky, height was short, and the prior year’s MVP was Tom Brady’s first – at the age of 30. Of course, Peyton Manning would go on to win the subsequent two to follow, and Matt Ryan would eventually win his own in that 2016 Cinderella season. He achieved a lot in 14 years. Now I’m 25, and the legendary Quarterback leads the franchise in every notable stat and accolade. He will hold these records for some time, no doubt long after he is inducted into the hall of fame. His impact on the franchise has been immeasurable. Yet, that leads us to the present day. The all-time great Falcon was recently shipped to Indianapolis in exchange for a 3rd round pick. The value of the trade was significantly low, if we compare to the Matt Stafford trade a year before, but works more so as a cap based move to contribute toward Atlanta’s long rebuild. What’s next, though? I would argue that this move has put Matty Ice in the best position he has ever been throughout his illustrious career. The question being, can he finally win a ring?
