108 Years in the Making
Where were you on the evening of November 2, 2016? Most likely, you were watching Game 7 of the World Series: either in person, at a bar, at home by yourself or with a group of people. Baseball in November is a rare occurrence, but whenever your team wins a World Series title, it's always a great feeling to experience. Two years ago, I saw a compilation video on YouTube of different Cubs fans reacting to their team winning the World Series title for the first time since 1908. I completely related to the people in that video, because I did a reaction video back in 2023, which I posted on my social media pages. That was the year that my team, the Texas Rangers, won their first World Series title in franchise history. When Josh Sborz recorded the final out, I screamed in excitement. I cried happy tears and couldn't believe that my own team achieved something that slipped through their fingers twice before. I'll have links to two World Series stories I've written previously down below. In this story, I'll share my thoughts about the Cubs wining the World Series title back in 2016. Before I discuss that, let's learn some facts about them.

Caitlin Clark: The Political Pawn the WNBA Wasn’t Ready For — And the Real Cost of Her Success
You know, I really feel sorry for Caitlin Clark. I’ve never met her and probably never will. I have a rookie card I’d love her to sign someday, but this isn’t about trading cards or jerseys. It’s not an obsession.

Golden Boot, Empty Hands
Five minutes before kickoff, Mbappé stood in the center circle, pressing each foot into the turf in turn, as if testing how soft the ground was. He tugged the captain's armband higher up his sleeve, glanced toward Deschamps—who had his hands in his pockets, back to the pitch, talking to the fourth official. No one called for him. He looked away, bent down, and smoothed his socks flat, the motion slow, like he was waiting for something certain to begin.

The Soil That Waits: Inside Iran’s Silent Revolution of Bones and Basil
The Iranian clerical regime has never gambled everything on “national destiny” or “resisting aggression.” Those are slogans for the street and the camera. What they have always gambled on is the survival of the Velayat-e Faqih, the absolute monopoly of theocracy over power and wealth. They’ve played this hand for more than forty years with precision, brutality, and methodical calculation, but the chips on the table are almost gone. To see the endgame clearly, you have to go back to the very first hand they dealt.

The One NBA City 35.8% of Players Refuse to Call Home — And It’s Not Who You Think
NBA player movement is no longer dictated solely by front‑office transactions. Since the rise of the “player empowerment” era, stars have gained more leverage over their destinations than ever before. The Paper Trap: How Australia Hollowed Out Chinese Mining Shares With the Stroke of a Pen
On 14 July 2026, Australia’s Treasurer, Jim Chalmers, signed an executive directive. The document went through no parliamentary debate and no public hearing. It simply froze, with immediate effect, all shareholder rights held by three Chinese stakeholders in Northern Minerals. Voting rights: zero. The right to vote on dividends: zero. Even the right to inspect financial statements: zero. The shares remained in the accounts, but in the eyes of the law they had been turned into worthless paper.

FIFA and the Goblet of Fire
Everyone is watching it. The world is gripped by it. Soccer. Who will win the World Cup? Sports should be a great way for the world to unite, if not food. But how can we possibly unify over something that should be wholesome when it is rife with corruption? How do I explain to my child that the rules are meant only for poor countries or those without influence and deep, seedy pockets? This game of soccer is just as corrupt as governments. There is no difference. A sheister is a sheister.
